"Are you ready for your big match with Erza?" Meredy asks slightly teasing her chosen big brother.
"Remind me again why we are doing this?" He asks with a slight nervousness in his voice.
"Because it is a tradition among fairy tail to do this every year. To help increase their skills. At least that is what Erza said."
"I love her but sometimes she can be really intense. I have seen her fight. I have seen her kill people before Meredy."
"Have hope. She loves you too, you know. She won't kill you. Unless you ate/destroyed her strawberry cake. Or betrayed everyone, by still being a villain. "
"I promise I didn't do either, plus who is dumb enough to get between Erza and her strawberry cake. Even if she doesn't kill me, she can still kick my ass."
"That's true."
"Hey, guys, what are you talking about?" Erza asked as she walks into the room.
"Who would be dumb enough to come between you and your strawberry cake.?"
"Natsu and Gray. They have both done it on multiple occasions."
"Why did you come in here anyway? I thought you would be polishing your armor or something else like that to prepare for the match." Meredy asked curiously.
"I came to wish Jellal good luck. He is going up against me after all. He'll need the luck. But at the same time, I might need it. He is really good too."
"Thanks, I think. Our match is about to start do you want to walk out there with me?"
"I would be happy to," she said grabbing his hand intertwining their fingers. Meredy following them down the stairs hoping to get a good spot to watch the match.
"Aren't you love birds the next match?" Gray teased
"Yes, we are," Erza said as they stepped onto the giant red balls that stood over the mud pit Levy had made. They grabbed the marshmallow stick.

"Ready. Set. Go" they tried to keep their balance as they swung at each other.
"Erza look strawberry cake."
"Where." She turns around giving him the chance he needed. With that, he tripped her and she fell into the mud. He went to help her up, but she pulled him in with her."That was a dirty trick."
"Yeah, but now where even."
"Come on let's get out of here."
