AN(92-1) Wait

Nishinoya sits on the volleyball court, stretching. He sees Kageyama yelling at Hinata about how horrible his form is.
"Do they ever say anything nice to each other?" Asahi says from behind Nishinoya. Nishinoya turns his head to look at the tall boy. Asahi has an amused smile on his face. Nishinoya jumps up to look at him.
"Probably not. Maybe eventually, though." Nishinoya grins.
"Hey! How about you hit some of my tosses! I still need a lot more practice..." Nishinoya rubs the back of his neck with his hand, looking down.
"Yeah, definitely!" Asahi claps Nishinoya on the shoulder and Nishinoya feels a shiver run down his spine. He freezes, and when asahi gets over to the court he calls back to Nishinoya, "You coming?"
"What? Of course!" Nishinoya shakes his head as he jogs over to Asahi. They practice tosses for a while until Daichi says it's the end of practice.
"Rest up everybody! tomorrow's practice is gonna be a lot of conditioning." A collective groan emerges from the group.
"Sorry, but you guys could use it." he smiles and dismisses everyone. Nishinoya walks home, takes a shower, and collapses on his bed, too tired to do much else. Suddenly his phone lights up. He's gotten a text from Asahi.
"Hey, Noya. Your tosses are getting a lot better! I just wanted to ask, you were a little weird at practice, are you alright?" Nishinoya smiles at the text. Of course Asahi would notice something.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I was just a little tired." Nishinoya responds. It's true that he was indeed, tired, but Nishinoya wasn't going to mention the fact that he couldn't take his eyes of Asahi when he was spiking.
"Oh. Are you sleeping okay? Have you been taking your medicine?" Nishinoya can hear Asahi's concern as if he's in the room with him.
A few weeks ago, Nishinoya had went to the doctor with complaints about sleeping problems and was prescribed with something that was supposed to help him. He had told Asahi about it one day walking back from practice. He hasn't been taking it, it made him dizzy and not feel like himself. He didn't want to cause his parents any trouble though, so he just said it was working fine.
"Yeah, I've just been having to stay up doing homework and such, you know?" Nishinoya feels bad for lying, but he doesn't want his friend to worry.
"I get it. Just tell me if you need any help with school, okay? I'm happy to help." They had actually had several studying sessions together. Asahi keeps him grounded, Nishinoya is always super hyper and needs someone to tell him to calm down in a nice voice. Asahi has a nice voice. Nishinoya shakes his head. What's happening to him? Well, Asahi is one of his best friends after all. nothing more.
"Thanks. You always take such good care of me."
"It's my pleasure." Nishinoya smiles at that. Whenever they text, he always says "my pleasure" instead of no problem or you're welcome. Nishinoya likes to think it's one of their inside jokes, but he has no idea if Asahi does it with other people. Nishinoya rolls over and turns out the lights, hoping on getting a decent amount of sleep.
