"Happy."

"When you are joyous...could you smile?"

"Like this?" Sai smiled a little and I nodded.

"Now open your eyes," I told him and he did. I smiled back and I saw him blushing a little.

"I have two questions now."

"Hm?"

"Why did I have to smile?"

"Because Sakura said when you smile a real smile it's cute....and I told her that a fake one is okay if it's the only one I can get....I really like your smile. I'm sorry."

"It's okay....um, the second one is why do my cheeks feel warm?"

"That's because you're blushing."

"Why do people blush?"

"For different reasons. When someone is embarrassed, or if they see someone they like, or if the feel extremely happy. Blushing is good Sai," I smiled and his blush deepened a little before it left.

"I don't think that I've ever carried out a normal conversation with you before. So this is awkward," Sai frowned and I could tell that he was hoping that Sakura was here instead.

"You like Sakura, don't you?" I frowned. Sakura didn't need something like this so soon. She already had two idiots after her heart.

"I find her a good friend. Even if she is very violent."

"Yeah, she has serious anger issues," I started to laugh and Sai looked at me, confused.

"Why do you laugh? Aren't you being serious?"

"Yeah, but Forehead is a pretty good friend, so I'm not concerned....wait a minute. Sai, have you ever laughed?"

"Like this? Haha?" Sai said that very dully and I wanted to cry.

"No Sai, like actually laugh. Like if you saw something funny."

"Define funny."

"Seriously?"

"Oh, I forgot that I have to use a sentence. I think it funny that you are dense."

"Hm. You find it humorous because the person you are defining is so dense that it makes you want to laugh," I explained. Sai sighed before shaking his head and looking once more at his drawing.

*Sai pov*
This girl, she is so dense. Ugly must have asked Ino for me instead of Naruto because she knew I liked Ino. Ugly may be violent, but she is a good friend sometimes.

"Ino. It bugs me that you're like them," I stated bluntly, going back to my drawing.

"Like who?" she asked confused.

"The rest of Konoha 12. They all think that I'm just a replacement for the Uchiha. You think that too, don't you?" I asked and there was a moment of silence before she slapped me. I widened my eyes and touched my cheek that was starting to turn red from where she hit it.

"You a**! Of course not! You look like him, sure, but you are nothing like him! You're sweet, loyal, and you actually try to have emotions instead of trying to get rid of them. So don't you ever think that I'll compare you to him!" Ino's face was a little red like mine had been. I felt heat rise to my cheeks, and I remembered that Ino called this blushing.

"I think I love you," I confessed. Ino stared at me for a moment, and I stared back. Our eyes never left each others. Finally Ino sighed.

"You don't even know what love is Sai," Ino sounded disappointed and I reached for her hands. Ino looked at me, stunned.

"Ugly taught me that emotion and when she explained what it was, your face popped into my mind. Was I wrong to think that I loved you?" I was blunt about it and she blushed even more. I leaned in and kissed her on the cheek.

"S-Sai!" Ino squeaked out. I gave her my finished drawing.

"I have to go train. Thank you," I left just as Ino began to look at my drawing.

*Ino pov*
I looked down at what Sai had drawn. It was a drawing of us holding hands in the grass, little hearts surrounded the drawing. I smiled and started to blush. I turned the drawing over to see a note left by Sai.

I'll see you at the same place tonight.

"It's a date," I whispered.
