"Oh, Hajime! This is beautiful!" Oikawa exclaims as he steps out on to the balcony. The porch umbrella was open and lined with fairy lights. Candles surrounded the poll in little mason jars. Two places were sat next to each other looking out at a yard that was filled with trees with lit up bird houses hanging from the branches "I can't believe you did all of this!"

"Well, our four year anniversary should be something to celebrate." He responds, a wide smile on his face from seeing Oikawa so happy.

"Oh, and I thought that a little surprise at work would be the last of it." Oikawa leans over and kisses Iwaizumi on the cheek.

"Oh, is that all I get?" Iwaizumi pouts

"You know that isn't all you get." Oikawa says with a giggle.

"Okay, go get settled. I'm going to get the food." Iwaizumi says removing his arms from around Oikawa's waist.

"You cooked, too! Is that why you made me walk around the house when I got home from work?"

"Well, I couldn't have you smelling food!" Iwaizumi called back as he walks towards the door. "Now go on!" He shoos Oikawa towards the table with a wave of his hand.

"You made me walk up all those stairs so I wouldn't smell that food?" Iwaizumi hears Oikawa yell incredulously as he walks through the door. Iwaizumi chuckles to himself once he's inside. He's so happy to see Oikawa in such a good mood. Lately, he had been kind of stressed at work, so Iwaizumi was extremely thankful when Oikawa came home in a relatively good mood, unlike how he had been coming home recently. Hopefully tonight will lift his spirits for more than one day.

Iwaizumi walks out of The house holding two plates of food. He said some down on the table and takes his place next to Oikawa.

"It looks wonderful, Hajime. I still can't believe you did all this for me. It's so much more than I did for you!"

"It's okay. Remember, last year you totally outdid me, so this year I had to make it the best ever." Iwaizumi says, smiling.

"Yeah, but this is... This is so... So perfect" Oikawa says in awe, looking out at the lit up trees.

"Well, I can have nothing less for my perfect boyfriend." Oikawa looks over at Iwaizumi, love filling his gaze. Oikawa leans in and kisses Iwaizumi slowly, tenderly.

"I love you" Oikawa says against Iwaizumi's mouth.

"Oh, so did I need to tell you that you're perfect for you to say that. Iwaizumi says slyly, leaning back in his chair.

"You're impossible!" Oikawa says, throwing his hands up in the air.

"I love you, too." Iwaizumi says in response.

" Hell yeah you do." Oikawa mutters, taking a bite of bread.

"Oh, do you have something to say?"

" just that I am totally going to outdo you next year." he says, holding his head high.

"Sure" Iwaizumi says indifferently, sipping his tea.

"What? Do you have something planned?" Oikawa asks indignantly.

"I guess you'll just have to find out."

" I swear, if I find a new car in the garage tonight..."

"Oh don't worry, honey. I'm not going to spend that much money on you." Iwaizumi says, smiling as he kisses Oikawa. "Okay, come on. We got to eat" Iwaizumi says pulling away after a few moments.

" I guess you went to all this trouble to fix this food, you better eat it." Oikawa says

After they finish the meal, Iwaizumi stands up and announces that he made dessert as well and that he's going inside to bring it out."

"Oh, I thought that it was just me." Oikawa says

"What?"

"Dessert" Oikawa says with a completely straight face.

"Oh, you will be tonight." Iwaizumi says with a smirk. "But for now let's enjoy this ice cream pie I so beautiful crafted." He was so proud of himself.

When there where done they looked out at the trees.

"Wait, did you see that? Oikawa exclaims

"See what?"

"It was a firefly!" Oikawa points at the air.

"Uh, okay. Why is this important?" Iwaizumi asks, confused.

"Because, we are going to catch them silly!" Oikawa ran inside to get jars with childish glee on his face. Once he had poked holes in them, Oikawa ran down the stairs to their yard. Iwaizumi quickly follows him.

Soon they had six or seven fireflies in the jar. Oikawa held it up to the trees with the cute lights. "Hajime, this has been the most perfect night-" he stops short as he takes in the sight before him. Hajime, his Hajime, is on one knee in front of him and a ring is in his hand.

"I thought you wouldn't spend that kind of money on me" Oikawa says short of breath.

" I would spend the world on you. I love you so much. I couldn't survive in this life, or any life, without you. So please, let me marry you and be with you forever."

"Of course." Oikawa said as he pulled his now fiancé into a deep passionate kiss. " I love you. And you were right I will never be able to top this." They laughed as they put the rings on.
