Keith waited patiently in the park for his boyfriend to come back. It was a hot summer day in July, so the couple decided to get some ice cream. Conveniently, the wonderful tune of the ice cream truck was passing by, so Lance had gone to order the code treat for the two of them to share. The sun was intense as it beats down, making Keith wish that he had worn a lighter shirt instead of a black one.

That ever-so-paint sound of crying broke Keith train of thought. The pitiful sound of wailing distracted the former red paladin from the unbearable heat, causing his inner motherly instincts to kick in and force him to search for the sound of the crying. Eventually, Keith found the sound and was met with a surprising sight.

Sitting in a bush, was a young woman and with the long brown hair and brown eyes, along with a small, woven basket in her arms. The wails were coming from the basket.

"Please, take her." The young woman pleated, putting the grass–made basket into kids arms. Keith didn't reject, he physically couldn't, even if he wanted to.

Keith peered into the basket, only to be met with another surprise for that day. Inside the basket with a tiny human being, eyes closed. It used to be wailing but when it was placed in Keith's arms, it's wails became quieter and quieter, until they stopped completely. Keith assumed that the human child was a girl, based on the pronouns the young woman used. A motherly flame sparked inside Keith as soon as the child grabbed his finger, along with a vision of a happy family and love feeling his eyes in mind. Keith silently promised the child that he would always be there for it, no matter the circumstances.

"Thank you" The woman smiled before a strong gust of wind blew and she turned into dust right before Keith eyes. Keith kneeled onto the ground made of wood chips, placed the basket on the ground, and took the baby out of the basket. He held the baby to his chest, whispering promises of love, laughter, and safety as a babies breathing became much more relaxed. Keith smiled himself, how was his boyfriend going to react to this?

"Keith? Keith Kogane, where did you come from and where did you go?" The voice of his lover, Lance McClain, lures Keith out of the bushes by singing the lyrics of his favorite joke song. But Keith wasn't in the right mind to reply. Keep carefully emerge from the bushes, making sure that the child wasn't scratched by any branches.

"Oh, there you are Keith." Lanside with relief as he spotted his boyfriend. Then he saw the bundle of blankets in his lovers arms. "What....What is that?

Keith smiled, approaching his lover and placing the child into the arms of this boyfriend. Lance lifted the blanket to see the beautiful vision that his lover her wedding him to see. A baby. A real, human baby.

"Is this... is she our daughter now? What will we name her? Will we take the others? How would we tell the others? Am I ready to be a father? Would I be a good father?" Lance began to panic, unsure of what he should do. He would be delighted to learn that he was a father, of course, but Lance wasn't prepared for this. Keith only hugged Lance, resting his head on Lance's shoulder and closing his eyes.

"If you want to know her name," Keith murmured. "It's KayLee. Her name is KayLee."
