"Guys, look, it's raining!" Noya points at the window of the gymnasium. He turns to the rest of the team with a huge smile on his face.

"Um, Nishinoya-san, why are you so excited about the rain?" Yamaguchi asks, looking slightly dismayed. Thunder booms outside and he flinches. Tsukishima looks at Yamaguchi with concern, like he wants to move closer but not with the whole team watching.

"I don't know. I find it calming, and the thunder sounds so cool!" he gushes. He turns back to the window.

"It's really coming down out there," Daichi observes. "We can end practice now or try to wait it out. What do you guys think?" He looks over at Sugawara.

"Well, it is already dark out and with the amount of rain coming down it probably isn't all that safe to try to go out there," Sugawara reasons.

"Yeah, I agree!" Yamaguchi pipes up, and Tsukishima nods, agreeing with his friend.

"No, but I want to go out and dance in the rain!" Noya objects. Hinata nods enthusiastically. Asahi sighs at the two tiny players.

"You guys, it could be seriously dangerous out there. We don't even know the wind speeds out there, not to mention the absurd amount of lightning." Thunder boomed again as if to emphasize what Asahi had just said. Hinata pouts.

"That's just how it is, dumbass." Kageyama whacks Hinata on the back of his head.

"Oi, Kageyama! I thought you liked the rain!" Hinata complains, rubbing his head.

"I do! That doesn't mean I want to go out and dance in a thunderstorm." Kageyama aims a pointed stare at Hinata and crosses his arms. Hinata sticks his tongue out at the setter.

"I'm glad you aren't as mean as he is," Noya whispers to Asahi. Asahi chuckles a little bit but stops when Kageyama angrily turns toward them, obviously hearing what Noya had said.

"Okay guys, we definitely are going to wait this out," Daichi says with a grimace. He didn't like the idea of spending at least another hour with all these guys, some of them extremely hyper. He was looking forward to going home and spending some time with Suga. Suga looks over at Daichi apologetically and shrugs as if to say, 'Well, there's really nothing we could do.' Daichi sighs and claps his hands together. "Well come on, we still have at least a half hour of practice to complete."

Although practice did continue, they didn't get much actual training done. Every time they heard thunder, Noya would go to the nearest volleyball in the air and do rolling thunder, while Yamaguchi dropped the ball and tensed up every time. He just kinda stuck to Tsukishima the rest of practice, literally. Tsukki didn't seem to mind though; it looked like he was even trying to make Yamaguchi feel better. Hinata was extra hyper and Kageyama kept getting distracted by him and yelling at him. Tanaka would let out a loud yell every time lightning struck and got even more pumped up. Throughout all this chaos, Asahi, Sugawara, and Daichi all just stood there and grimaced at the team. Takeda and Ukai weren't there to calm them down, since it technically wasn't an official practice, they both had already made plans. Ennoshita was trying to minimize the chaos, but to no avail. Finally, Daichi stepped in.

"Listen up! This is obviously not benefitting anyone here. No one can practice receiving because Nishinoya is running around receiving every single ball there is. Hinata has jumped into the net too many times to count, and Kageyama can't take it anymore. He has hit Hinata in the face 10 more times than usual. And Tanaka, I think I am going deaf from all your yelling. Not to mention, Yamaguchi looks like he is about to start crying." Daichi looks at all of them with a tired look. "Just clean up and we can just hang out till the storm passes."

Everyone dispersed. Some went to change and others started cleaning the gym. Once everybody was in clean clothes and the gym was clean, they all sat down somewhere. Yamaguchi and Tsukishima were in the corner and Tsukishima was rubbing Yamaguchi's back in an effort to comfort the other first year. Daichi and Suga were leaning up against the wall facing the window. Their hands were loosely interlocked as they spoke to each other in hushed voices. With the excitement of the thunderstorm practice draining out of him, Nishinoya was curled up on the floor, his head on Asahi's leg. Asahi was resting up against the wall. He was looking at Nishinoya with a soft smile and he was twirling a strand of Noya's hair carefully around one finger. Tanaka and Ennoshita were both lying on the floor of the gym, their hands behind their heads. Hinata was trying to carry on a conversation with Kageyama, but Kageyama was completely uninterested.

"Kageyama-kun! Why won't you pay attention to me?" Hinata asks indignantly.

"Because I am tired, and your voice is loud. I just want to sit here in peace."

"Sorry, Tiredyama-kun," Hinata says, a little quieter this time. He takes a place leaning against the wall next to Kageyama.

"So, did you know Daichi and Sugawara were dating?" Hinata whispers as he looks at the two third years.

"Dumbass, everyone has known for like a month. Where have you been?" Kageyama asks in an exasperated voice. Hinata's expression is very confused. Kageyama just sighs.
