Saikawa never allowed herself to be vulnerable. She saw it as a weakness, a way that people could abuse you. So she hid every flaw that she had, to show that she was strong and capable. But she knew she had something hidden that she was afraid of. She was afraid of what she was truly capable of. So she let herself fall behind a little and said that was her full potential. But that gave people a way to tear her down. By saying she would never amount to anything. Saikawa hid that what people said hurt her.
One day Saikawa saw a song from her favorite Disney movie. Make a man out of you from Mulan. Saikawa felt something course through her. She knew it was time to discover what she was truly capable of. So on Wednesday night while waiting for her activities to begin she put on the song and let the energy course through her veins. She began moving and pulling off incredible stunts that only professional gymnast could do.
Meanwhile Saikawa's crush Kanna came to where she was at only a minute after her. Kanna watched Saikawa flip and spin and turn through the air. She moved with agility and grace. And most of control. She landed on her feet when the song came to an end. But after a song she knew all to well began to play. It was Reflection. Also from Mulan. Saikawa broke down thinking she was alone. This was one of those rare times when she would release everything that she had stored for weeks to months on end.
Saikawa felt a pair of hands pick her up and hold her. It was Kanna. Only in Saikawa's wildest dreams was she this close to Kanna. Saikawa broke down completely. When she quited down to all but a few sniffles Kanna put her down. Kanna knew Saikawa hated being vulnerable. She could see the pain in her eyes when she looked at her.
"Saikawa," Kanna said, "I know you hate being vulnerable. But it's not a way for people to hurt you, but it's a way for people to grow stronger and come closer together." Saikawa nodded refusing to let go of Kanna. She had never felt safer in all of her life. Eventually she let go of Kanna but she held her hand. And together they walked to their Wednesday activities. (As an official couple)
