Kageyama's POV
PANIC MODE.
PANIC MODE.
My head is spinning from my and Hinata's encounter. We have never been that close before except when we accidentally fall asleep on each other during bus rides or when he slams into while trying to block during a game.
I know I have felt something for Hinata for quite a while now. Something just draws me to him. I couldn't possibly express my feelings though, he would definitely laugh or something and then things would get all awkward. It would probably mess up the dynamic of the team and I would really rather not have that happen.
So I just keep everything to myself, I've always been good at that.
Nishinoya saunters over to me and slaps me on the back.
"You look troubled, young child," he says in a pompous voice with a sarcastic smile. I hear a quiet,
"You're only a year older than him," from Sugawara who is all the way across the gym. Nishinoya ignores him.
"Tell me all of your problems." I look down at Nishinoya who has this face of mock concern and I can't help but laugh.
"DO NOT LAUGH. YOUR SENPAI IS TRYING TO HELP YOU," Nishinoya shouts and all that does is make me laugh more. It also provokes a snicker from Tanaka.
"I'm sorry," I say, still trying to hold back a laugh.
"I give up! You are an ungrateful kouhai!" Nishinoya starts to stalk away.
"No, wait!" I stop Nishinoya. "I do actually have something to ask you." Nishinoya turns and walks back towards me. "Um, well, I was wondering, um, what do you do if you, um, are pretty sure you like someone but you are afraid to tell them and if you do and it turns out badly it might mess up other people's lives too?" I spit out the last part speaking a mile a minute, but Nishinoya still seems to understand what I'm trying to say. He blinks.
"Oho! You have a crush!" Nishinoya says happily, his eyebrows rising in surprise. "I didn't think you had it in you to care about other people!"
"Shh!" I put a hand on his shoulder and look around.
"Sorry sorry." He waves his hand dismissively. "Yeah, I am probably not the best person to ask, but I would just recommend talking to them about it or making a move, and if it doesn't turn out then things might be a little awkward but you'll get over it, and they'll get over it, and eventually everything will go back to normal." Nishinoya tilts his head at me. "Would you mind telling me who it is?" He asks curiously.
"I would mind very much at this point in time," I state.
"Okay okay. Well I hope everything works out."
