  Chapter 36

"Did you manage to get him in bed?" I asked Damian quietly.

He nodded. "Yeah, he's in the spare bedroom,"

I sighed and rocked back and forth on my heals. "Sleep with me tonight, I want to hold you," I looked at Damian surprised.

"Alright." He grabbed my hand and pulled me to his room.

"I need something to change in," I realized and turned to go to my room.

"Here, you can wear one of my shirts," I hesitated but nodded.

"I'll change, then the bathroom is yours," I whispered and stepped into the bathroom quickly changing.

When I walked out Damian's eyes dropped to my legs. "Maybe this wasn't a good idea," he choked out.

I rolled my eyes. "Boy, just go change,"

I climbed into his bed as the bathroom door closed.

When he came back out he was only in his boxers. "And you were complaining about my attire." I scoffed.

"Echo, your a girl. Sure, my legs are sexy as hell, but I'd like to see you try to take advantage of me."

huffing I laid my head on his pillow and closed my eyes. "Little flamma," he whispered lightly in my ear bringing me closer to him.

I twisted my head to look at him. "Yeah?"

"Do you... do you regret meeting us?" I studied his face, it was strangely vulnerable, stripped of his usual pride.

"No, not at all." I told him kissing his lips softly.

"That's a... relief. I want to do this right, I want to be a good father to my kids... I want more." He whispered the last part looking at me longingly.

I jerked shocked. "More kids? Good grief, Mia and Theo aren't even three months old yet!"

Damian bit his lip. "They don't even have to be mine, you can have Logan's kids, or Elijah's... I want a large family Echo,"

"We were supposed to snuggle Damian, now we're talking about having kids." I wasn't annoyed, just surprised.

"Yeah, well..." He stopped and shrugged.

"Mia and Theo weren't planned, clearly. The next set of kids will be." Damian's eyes lit.

"Great, so like seven more kids?" I choked and face planted on my pillow.

"Goodnight Damian."

"Echo! Wake up! We made pancakes!" I sat up gasping.

Jonathan stood there dressed in fresh clothes and smiling. "Pancakes?" I asked groggy.

Damian stirred beside me but didn't wake up.

"Yeah! Come downstairs!"

I sat up quickly getting dressed before walking down. Mia and Theo were being fed by Jace and Logan, Elijah flipped pancakes.

"For lunch I'm going to make you my signature tacos, Logan said I could." Jonathan said proudly.

I smiled and sat down at the bar. "Yum, what kind?" I asked watching him stack the pancakes on a plate.

"Peanut butter chip pancakes." I grinned and grabbed a plate.

ElIjah stacked four pancakes on my plate and gave me a fork. Quickly digging in I watched as Damian came down yawning.

"Good morning," Damian told Theo picking him up as Logan was finished feeding him.

"So, I hope you didn't mind staying here," I started watching Jonathan eat his seventh pancake.

"My mom won't care if I'm gone, and as for school... who cares?!"

I laughed and nodded finishing my pancakes.

"I'm taking Mia outside for awhile," I told everyone picking up her up gently.

"Alright, be careful." Logan warned me.

I walked outside the breeze cooling my skin. "Look at the flowers Mia," I whispered letting her touch them.

She giggled and waved her arms around excited.

"Mommy loves you so much," I told her laying on the ground holding her up on my stomach.

She threw her hands in the air again and smiled.

"So silly," I told her and lifted her in the air.

She squealed and shook her head. "Look at you!" I cheered and twirled her around.

"Such a pretty girl," I praised and continued playing around with her.

"Echo, Jonathan finished making lunch," Jace called. I sighed standing. "Play time is over."

As I walked in Jonathan placed six plates of food on the table. "Sit!" He cheered again. I smiled at him.

"Just a minute, I have to put the twins to bed," I grabbed Theo from Elijah and ran up the stairs.

"Bedtime," I told them placing each a pacifier in their mouths.

I draped a blanket over them and kissed their cheeks. "I'll be back when you wake up." I promised and stroked Theo's fingers as his eyes drifted shut.

I quietly closed the door and walked down stairs.

"Sit!" Jonathan cheered and I obeyed. "First I have to see if you're worthy."

I stared in amusement as Jonathan leaned down and looked at the tacos carefully.

"You are worthy of the tacos!" I laughed and  slowly began eating, I found it was really good.

"Are you guys not going to eat my tacos?" Jonathan looked hurt as the guys didn't eat, of course because they didn't normally.

They ate quickly to please him and he smiled.

I ate until I was full and frowned touching my head feeling dizzy. I closed my eyes and rested my head on my palms.

I felt the world go black.

Jace's pov

I turned shocked when Echo falls to the ground unconscious. I grabed my head gasping as a wave of dizziness washed over me.

"What did you do?" Logan asked, he tried to sound threatening, but considering his panicked face he was feeling it too.

"I drugged you," Jonathan explained.

"You work for Chaos," I realized trying to fight the sensations of the drug.

"Yes, I've been helping him since the beginning, this was too easy."

I blinked seeing double, I knew I was going to fall under the drugging spell soon.

"Who are you?"

"I am you're father,"
