  Chapter 39

Cain and I walked up the stairs, I peeked carefully making sure the coast was clear.

"I don't know where the others are, I forgot to set a meeting point." I groaned shaking my head at my own stupidity.

"It doesn't matter, you'll be meeting them soon enough." I turned to see Chaos just as a sudden purple light was shot at us making me fall to the ground unconscious.

Elijah's pov

"So you just grabbed the keys no problem and set us all free?" I asked in disbelief knowing something was off.

"Well, yeah?" Jonathan frowned at me and shrugged.

"It's either this door or this door that has the side entrance," Jonathan told us looking unsure.

"Let's go through the right door." Quinn decided and opened it. The room was pitch black, I couldn't see a thing.

The room was suddenly filled with a bright light that made me cover my eyes with my arms.

I felt ropes climb across my body and I was tied so I was kneeling. I looked at everyone else, same thing, except for Jonathan.

He stared at us in shock. I looked up and Chaos walked in smiling, Echo limp in his arms.

"Welcome," he smiled coldly.

Jonathan looked at us then Chaos biting his lip.

"What did you do to her?" Logan asked sounding surprisingly calm.

"Oh? She's simply sleeping, when she wakes up we'll have some fun, I have a game we're going to play. Now, Jonathan, come here."

Jonathan hesitated looking torn. "Now." He made his way over to Chaos looking over at Jace in uncertainty.

"You have something I need," he motioned at me and my brothers. "You filthy blood suckers are simply here for the show."

"What do we have that you need?" Damian asked glancing at Echo who began to stir.

"You're blood. I was created and made from your anger and hate, Echo of your love and joy. However, I have been fading while she only grows stronger, I need you're blood to live. The demons inside me fight for power even as we speak."

Demons inside him? Wtf is wrong with this dude?

Echo made a soft groaning sound and her eyes opened. A scream tore from her lips, Chaos placed his lips on hers, watching us as he did.

I struggled in my bonds. "You stupid mother fucker," Damian snapped. Jonathon flinched and looked away looking horrified.

Chaos pulled away licking his lips, he set Echo on the ground but kept a hand on her shoulder.

"I'm disappointed in you Echo, and also you Jonathan." He flinched again easing away.

"Echo we're going to play a game, choose one of them to die, one vampire and one of the men you love oh so dearly."

Her lips parted. "No," she whispered.

Chaos smiled. "Then I'll choose for you, I'll give you Five minutes."

Jonathan paled. "You said we weren't going to kill anyone..." Chaos laughed.

"It will be over soon, it is the way of life."

Echo stared at us, I could see her pulse pounding in her throat. "I can't..."

"Three more minutes," Chaos warned her.
