Chapter 4I don't know how long I sat there with Elijah talking about his book, it seemed like it had only been a few minutes before it was over.
The door opened and Logan walked in, his aura made me want to run and hide.
"We're ready to eat Elijah," Elijah nodded and typed a few more times before rising.
I looked at Logan, he walked over to me, making my heart beat faster.
"No food for you tonight." He walked away, I stood.
"Why?" Elijah sighed and quickly walked out the door. Logan slowly turned around.
"Excuse me?" I swallowed. He shook his head.
"You woke up Damian with your screaming, he demanded recompense."
I sat back down, Logan moved over to me and grabbed my chin, his mouth went to my ear making me shiver.
"Don't you, ever, question my orders," he whispered darkly, I stayed still, scared to move.
Where his hand was, sparks flew, he ignored it and left slamming the door behind him.
I swallowed and nervously tugged at my sleeves.
My eyes widened when I saw Elijah's windows, I could climb out.
I nibbled on my lip thinking. I grabbed Elijah's tablet and decided to see if it had google maps, to see where I was.
I was about to ex out of his book but then I saw the last words he had written.
It's a test.
I dropped his tablet and flopped down on my back, hitting cushions.
I curled into a ball and closed my eyes.
I suppose they wanted to see if I would try to escape... but why did Elijah warn me?
I don't understand.
After a while, I heard the door open, on the verge of sleep I kept my eyes closed.
"Can I?" I heard Jace whisper.
"Does it fucking matter who puts her to bed?" Elijah snapped.
Jace picked me up, I knew because of his warm scent.
"Fine, be a grump." He snuggled me to his chest and I felt us walk down two flights of stairs.
I shifted as Jace's fingers landed on my thighs.
He hummed softly and I was laid gently onto a bed, he fell beside me, fingers wrapping around my waist. Sparks flew.
"Your so soft," hands climbed up my arms gently as he rubbed my skin.
Hello! Touching me while you think I'm sleeping!
I was too tired to stop him, at least, that's what I told myself.
He stood brushing his hand on my cheek gently before standing.
"Goodnight Lily,"
Goodnight Jace.
I rolled over and fell back to sleep.
In the morning I stood yawning. I looked at the door before shrugging and opening it.
My feet grew cold on the tile.
"What are you doing girl?" Damian asked me, his voice deep.
"L-looking for the bathroom," I wasn't lying, I really needed to go.
He grabbed my arm making me cry out as he roughly dragged me through the kitchen. He's shoved me into a room with a smirk.
"Here you go," I sighed in relief as I was in a bathroom, I looked up and noticed Damian wasn't leaving.
"You need to leave," I whispered inhaling.
"Do I? All human girls are the same, and I've seen plenty of naked women, go ahead."
I clenched my jaw and then let out an ear-piercing scream. Damian stumbled back and I closed and locked the door.
I went quickly sighing in relief.
After washing my hands I walked out, Logan stood their arms crossed. Shit.
Just as he opened his mouth my stomach growled loudly making him pause.
The corner of Logan's mouth lifted up as he fought a smile.
"Come on, we've got food,"
Damian threw his hands in the air. "That's it? Her stomach growls and you let her off?"
"Just shut up," Elijah said yawning, his shirt lifted, my eyes went to the golden skin he showed.
I turned away feeling disgusted at myself.
"We've got fruit and bread," Jace said sitting, pulling me into the seat next to him.
I nibbled on some bread feeling very out of place.
"So, tell me about the culture here," I froze and looked up.
"What you want to know?" Logan paused thinking.
"We've tried to infiltrate various places and every time failed, I want to know why."
He's really not telling me much...
I don't want to help them do anything.
"If I had to say what I thought your problem was right now I'd say it was your attitude..." I paused as Damian yelled his outrage.
"Quite," Logan snapped.
That's one nice thing about Logan I guess, he is reasonable and ready to listen.
"You have no respect for anyone but your selves, at least from what I've seen, if you were kinder, or pretended to be people respect that."
"So Your saying -"
"Think before you act, better said, hold your tongue, reign in your temper."
"Well said human," Logan murmured.
"Why do you keep calling me human?" I demanded.
Damian scoffed. "Because you are one,"
"So are you, should I start calling you human?"
Damian laughed.
"I'm not human, and neither are they,"
I looked at the others, they looked back at me.
Calm down Echo, you already knew they were crazy.
"She doesn't believe you, can we move on?" Jace asked warily.
"I'll give her a demonstration," Damian reached out to touch me, Jace pulled me away from him.
"What can you do?" I asked frowning.
"I kill with my touch." I shook my head.
"You've touched me plenty of times, nothing happened."
"I can control it, I'm not that incapable,"
Elijah stood, slamming his hands on the table.
"Shit, Elijah I didn't mean-"
"You know, maybe she's right and you should think before you fucking say this shit." He stormed up the stairs.
I stared at every one shocked.
"Someone put her back in her room, we've got work to do today,"
Damian grabbed my wrist, I cried out in pain as he dragged me down the hall and back into my room.
He squeezed my wrist so hard I heard a snap. I would have screamed my pain but he gagged me then tied my hands to the bedpost so hard I couldn't feel my hands.
He glared at me and pressed a hand on my throat.
"I can't wait to fucking kill you,"
He stormed out of the room slamming it behind him.
