Chapter 28

"Echo, how about some food?" I looked up at Levi and nodded.

"Do you want some toast?" I quickly shook my head.

"Toast? Like plain toast?" I wrinkled my nose in horror.

"I'll get you something else," Levi walked out and Elijah moved inside smiling at me warmly.

"How are you doing?" I rolled my eyes.

"Stop asking me, I'm fine Elijah." He nodded and brushed my hair from my face. "Sit with me," I pleaded scooting over.

He grinned and sat down smoothly. "Can we read our book?" I asked as Elijah pulled out his tablet.

"Yeah, we can read out book," I snuggled closer to him as he read.

Suddenly the door burst open and Damian walked in with Theo, who was screaming bloody murder. "Echo, make him stop! This child won't let anyone hold him," Damian complained.

"Fine, bring him here," Damian quickly moved forward and gave me the crying baby. "Aww, it's okay," I rocked him back and forth.

I looked down into his deep blue eyes and he slowly calmed letting out a soft coo.

"Okay, now keep reading," I said to Elijah, who listened, we had gotten to the good part.

Damian scratched his head. "You sure it's okay for a baby to listen to that kind of violence?"

I rolled my eyes. "It's sex, not violence."

Damian gave me a heated look. "Let's do that tonight, then tell me if -"

"Goodbye,"  Elijah said and we went back to reading as Theo rolled about in my arms.

"I mean it's wattpad, what else is there?" I mused watching Theo. Elijah chuckled and read once more.

When we finished the book I looked at Theo with surprise. "Normal human babies sleep a lot more than they do, they have a lot of energy."

Elijah nodded. "They aren't full human, so we don't know what we're getting into, but we'll figure it out."

"The birth wasn't normal either, I wasn't in pain, at all." Elijah watched me carefully. "None?"

"None," I confirmed.

"I've got food!" Levi sang and came in with chicken noodle soup.

I sat up eagerly. "Here, give me Theo," Elijah said and grabbed the squirming child and lifted him up into the air.

"Holy shit," I looked at Elijah confused. "What's wrong?"

Elijah didn't move, just stared at the baby. "He's touching my mind," I looked at Levi confused.

"Touching? What do you mean?"

  "Each person has a different touch, a unique signature mind you. I can feel when a person tries to force their way into my mind. Theo is currently reading my mind."

My jaw dropped. "My baby has super powers?"

Levi let out a snicker. "No wonder Theo doesn't like Damian," I glared at him. "Not funny."

"Can he... like talk to you through your mind?" I asked curiously.

"Maybe... I'm sure after time he'll grow strong enough to take over a person's mind, but for now he's just curious and seems to be concerned for you."

I blinked. "Concerned?" Elijah nodded never looking away from Theo's eyes.

"Yes, he wants to make sure I'm not hurting you,"

"That's so sweet and get really really creepy," Levi said and finally gave me my soup.

I ate it quickly humming in satisfaction.

Quinn walked in and sighed dreamily. "Imagine when he's older, you guys coming for a visit. Yes... I can see it now. 'uncle Quinn, come play with me' I can't wait!"

I laughed and finished my soup quickly when Theo began to fuss. "Who has Mia?" I asked and moved to get up.

"Echo, sit, you need rest. And Logan has Mia." I huffed in frustration.

"I've been sitting since yesterday! I need too move around!" I got up quickly, Elijah not able to grab me because he had Theo.

I only made it two steps before Levi grabbed me. Theo let out a cry and we all turned to him.

Levi let me go and moved and sat in the corner looking confused. "Oh my god," Quinn breathed.

Theo just... Woah...

I walked over and kissed Theo's nose. I grabbed him and moved to the door. "Let's go find your sister bud,"

"Echo, shouldn't you be resting?" I ignored Logan and walked over to Cain who had Mia.

"Hey little girl," I touched her hand gently and Mia let out a soft giggle smiling at me.

"They are only two days old, their not growing abnormally, but they seem to be very intelligent, especially Theo," Cain commented.

I nodded and handed Theo to Logan who happily hugged the baby. "When will we be leaving? And where's Damian?"

They all grinned at me, making me concerned. "What did you do?" I asked worried.

"Nothing, but Damian is working on a surprise for you." I tried to hide my smile. "Really?"

They nodded. "Is it... at the house?" Logan nodded and I bit my lip thinking of the different possibilities.

"Can we go now?" I asked watching everyone.

"Yeah, Joey and Quinn went shopping for baby stuff yesterday, Damian brought most of it home, but some of it is in the car."

I tried to hold on my excitement. "Let's go!" I cheered and looked at Cain.

"Come visit, okay little dove?" I nodded and smiled.

"I'll miss you all, we'll be back," Cain helped me put the twins in there new car seats and soon we left.

When we arrived Elijah and Logan carried the car seats in carefully telling me to go ahead and find Damian.

When I did finally find him I found him in a room I head never been in. I gasped taking in the soft baby blue colored room.

The room reminded me of a jungle. The walls were painted with trees, flowers, and animals.

Shelves held baby toys, blankets, and pacifiers.

The thing that awed me the most were the cribs, which hung from the ceiling like vines, they were connected but still split.

Each crib had one of those dangling things with animals for Theo, and hearts for Mia.

I felt tears begin to fall as I looked at Damian and began crying. "Ah fuck, Echo, is it not right? I looked and thought you would like this- fuck."

He stared at me looking so disappointed it broke my heart. "I love it! I can't believe you did this for me!"

"You... You like it?"

I jumped up and hugged him tightly. "It's perfect, everything is perfect."

He relaxed and hugged me back. "I'm sorry Echo, for everything... If I hadn't been a jealous prick none of this would have happened... but I can't help but be happy. If there hadn't been such a big rift between us we probably wouldn't have had the twins."

I smiled and leaned closed to him. "I'm thankful, what was supposed to break us apart completely just brought us closer, but I hope we will stand together, all of us, no matter what is thrown to destroy our family."

"Family?" I rolled my eyes. "Of course idiot, what else would we be? Now kiss me."

Squeeeeeeeel.

It was so FLUFFY!!!!!

but it's the calm before the storm, unfortunately Chaos isn't dead yet...
