  Chapter 25

Elijahs pov

"Someone tell me what's happening right now, I can't not fucking-"

"Damian, just sit," I told him sighing.

"Why did she look at me like that?" Damian asked looking more unsure and panicked than I'd seem in a long time.

"What did I do to her?" Damian whispered as he sat and Logan actually flinched.

"We already told you, you raped her Damian, but it wasn't you, I just don't know if she'll be able to see past that."

Damian ran his fingers through his hair.
"So I r-raped her," my eyes widened when he stuttered slightly over the words.

"Anything else?" His voice cracked.

"She's pregnant, she doesn't want to think she is, but Jace told me that Quinn heard her throwing up this morning." I said watching his horrified expression.

"This is Hope all over again, oh shit, fuck, Jace must be-" Damian stood only for Logan to push him down.

"Jace is okay, for now, Damian there's a chance-"

Damian cut him off. "Hope died, so did the child, what makes you think Echo is any stronger?"

I grit my teeth. "She's clearly stronger than you are." He glared at me and shook his head.

"Don't fight, we don't have time for that shit, clearly Chaos is trying to break us apart, somehow he was able to get someone to posses you, we need to find out how that's possible."

I nodded at Logan. "Let's go talk to Echo,"

We walked outside and I smiled seeing Echo in a tree laughing at something Jace told her.

Her head was tossed back and a smile lit her features. I swallowed hard.

"Oooooh shit." I turned to look at what Damian was pointing at.

"Hey guys!" I groaned seeing the boy that sold us cookies.

"You were so friendly I decided to come back, and I felt so bad so I brought the window repair man!"

"Not human," I murmured to Logan seeing the repair man's inhuman eyes.

Damian twisted over and sliced off the repair man's head just as the boy sneezed.

"Sorry allergies," the boy paused and looked around shocked. I held my breath.

"Holy crap, somebody get a bloody nose?!"

Jace discreetly stepped in front of the body smiling brightly eyes tense.

"Logan gets them sometimes," Echo said gesturing at him.

"Sick, that's some bloody nose! Got some on my cheek, that's gross bro, just gross. You guys raised in a barn? Here's a tissue,"

The boy handed the tissue to Logan, who looked mildly offended.

"What do I do with this?" Logan asked staring at the tissue as if it might bite him. Echo giggled.

"You put it on your nose,"

"That's disgusting," Logan said glaring at the soft paper like thing in his hands.

"No, you know what's disgusting? Look at this!" The kid wildly waved his arms around him.

I laughed and steered the kid towards the house. "Let's get you something to eat."

Echo's pov

"I can't believe he came back," Jace sputtered in disbelief as we cleaned.

"Why'd you hide the body?" Logan asked staring at Jace.

"Have you seen that kid? He's so innocent it's hilarious, I'm not letting you ruin that."

I laughed and sighed. "So the repair man wasn't human?" I asked and looked at them.

I froze feeling someone behind me and turned to face Damian. A scream quickly bubbled up but I forced it down.

"No, he wasn't." Jace answered my question quickly and shot Damian a look.

"Echo, let me see you," Damian murmured as I turned away from him and tried to swallow my ever growing fear.

I slowly turned around shaking like a leaf.

"You don't need to be scared," Damian reached out to touch me, I jerked back.

"I don't really want to talk to you, I'm sorry, I'm scared." I admitted and turned my face away from him.

"Your pregnant with my child, don't think you'll be able to hide from me." Damian whispered quietly.

I flinched back and walked to the house leaving them staring after me.

"Hey Echo!" Elijah said smiling at me. I nodded and watched the boy eat chips while playing with Moon dragging a string across the floor.

"I wonder if we could do that to Logan, I bet he's chase the string." Elijah said grinning.

I rolled my eyes and got myself a glass of water.

"What's you name?" I asked the boy. He grinned.

"My name is Jonathan! Don't call my John," he added and turned back to Moon.

I drank the cold water and sighed rubbing my temples, my head was pounding.

"Echo, why don't you go lay down?" Elijah told me watching me with concern.

I was tired so I didn't argue, I needed sleep.
