Chapter 5"Hey Echo, I was about to call you, Jonathan made his way over here." Quinn promised.
I looked at Jace and nodded, he took the phone from me and began shouting at an unsuspecting Quinn at the other end.
I walked into the kitchen and got myself some water ignoring Damian's hard eyes. "So, this is awkward," Elijah admitted.
I didn't look up to respond in fear of causing more rifts in our already damaged relationship.
"Echo, do you mind going over to Quinn's to pick up Jonathan? He doesn't want to talk to me." I looked up at Jace and nodded weakly.
"Yeah, I'll go," I ended with with a sigh and put on my shoes.
"Want me to come with you?" I looked up at Logan.
I stared at him unsure. "Just go," Logan snapped when I didn't answer him right away.
I threw my hands in the air. "Fine Logan, I'll see you later," he glared at me, I glared back putting on my jacket.
Mia stared at me. "Mommy! Mommy no go," Mia pleaded.
I kissed her head and walked out the door.
"Idiots," I scoffed and climbed into the car.
"Maybe I'll do them a favor and crash on my way over," I muttered and drove.
When I finally reached Quinn's house I felt horrible. "Hey Echo, Jonathan is with Joey and Levi playing Mario kart in the basement."
I nodded and was about to go down when Cain grabbed my wrist sending sparkes through my whole body.
I gasped and pulled back tucking my hair behind my ear nervously. "Echo, can we talk?" I nodded at Cain uncertain.
He grabbed my hand and pulled me to a large bedroom. "Look, there's something I've been meaning to tell you..."
I waved my hand for him to continue. "We may have accidentally started a blood bond,"
I froze. "Blood bond?" I whispered remembering Chaos words from when we were trapped in his creepy house.
"One of them had her attacked so he could start a blood bond,"
His words echoed through my mind until I was dizzy.
"Yes, a blood bond," Cain stated watching me through narrow eyes.
"What does that do?" I asked nervously.
"We can share thoughts, it simply causes me to have power over certain things." I hesitated.
I felt... uneasy... so uneasy. Cain seemed more like a predator than the friend he had been moments ago.
"Why would anyone want one?" Cain smiled lightly.
"Its like marriage in some cases, but it happens accidentally all the time," he stared cooley.
"Good thing you're married and gay, and I'm in love with a bunch of other people," I laughed grimacing at my word choice.
"I'm bisexual actually," I stared at him blood running cold.
"Oh," Cain smiled and pulled me into an embrace causing a flurry of pleasure down my spine.
"I um, Jace wanted me to hurry begin with Jonathan," I said quickly pulling back.
Cain stroked my cheek thoughtfully. "I see," as he spoke he grabbed my chin and tilted my head to the side exposing my neck to him.
I stepped back biting my lip, Cain simply eased forward himself pressing me into a dresser.
"Cain, no," I warned placing my hands on his chest pushing him back. He gave me a smile full of fang and grabbed my hips setting me on the desk.
"You're married," I warned seeing the danger in the situation I was in.
"So? I've been married for centuries Echo, life has begun to bore me... you've interested me," he whispered in my ear sliding his palms down my thighs.
"Cain," I whimpered. "They won't mind Echo... they want you to but won't admit it..." He bit down on my ear lightly nibbling.
I shuddered as he tried to seduce me. "You don't have to be afraid little dove, I won't force you, but I'm not giving up either," he promised and kissed down my neck. I closed my eyes.
"You don't need them Echo, they don't deserve you, don't deserve the twins." My lips parted as he sucked lightly on a spot that made me gasp eyes flying wide.
I was cheating on them, I need, this needs to stop.
I managed to wiggled away from Cain and grab the door handle. "I'll see you later Cain," I murmured and ran down the hallway and then to the basement.
"Jonathan, we need to go," He looked up startled, Joey and Levi did the same. "Can't I keep-"
"Now." I snapped feeling my heart pound so hard it literally hurt to breathe. "Is something wrong Echo?" Levi asked frowning.
"Everything is peachy, come on Jonathan," I pulled upstairs and out the door quickly.
"Echo, can we -"
I cut him off. "We have to go straight home Jonathan," I told him gently trying to rein back my anger, fear, and... Excitement?
I parked and unbuckled getting out.
I walked inside and Jace grabbed Jonathan by his ears. "Don't you ever do that to me again!"
I flinched as arms wrapped around me. "I'm so sorry Echo," I tensed in Damian's arms.
I didn't know what to say, what was there to say?
I turned and wrapped myself around him. "I fear stress is getting to all of us," I whispered, after all that's the only reason I would ever even think of Cain romantically, right?
Hello everybody!
So the question is... do we ship it?
I mean I could have all eight of them... right? 😉
