Ciara's P.O.V.

"Today was the best day ever!" Charlize shouted, once we entered the house. I couldn't help but laugh a bit at her craziness.

"I wish KayKay had came. She would've loved it! She loves to dance like I do!" Charlize continued, ploping onto the couch.

"Oh really?" I questioned, hanging our jackets on the coat hanger.

"Yeah! We used to street dance after school to get a little money. 'Just in case,' KayKay says. But it was really fun. We never told anybody, because the center would probably stop us from doing it."

"How did you two learn to dance?" I asked, curious.

"We just picked it up. We looked at music videos and try to copy the moves. But, we did it in private, in our room with this girl named Summer, who did it with us. She didn't know about the extra money thing."

I gave her a smile. "That's really cool, Char. How you learned those moves without having a choreograpger or dance teacher is pure talent. And, I'm so serious. I'm not saying that because you're my dau--"

I quickly closed my mouth. Holy crap. I was about to let out the huge secret. I wasn't ready to tell her yet. Was I? No no no. She would freak. I know it. And, I can't lose the bond I had worked so hard to build. I just can't. How can I play it off? Think think THINK!

"Ciara?" Charlize questioned. "What were you going to say?"

I was so caught up in my thoughts, that I had to remember what we were talking about. Oh yes. Her dancing.

"Anyways, you have some serious talent. Just get you a teahcer to teach you some things, and you're going places! Not to sound like one of those managers or record labels that want to sign people, but it's true."

Charlize had a huge grin on her face. "Cool! Like to New York and stuff?"

"Pfft! I could take you to New York anytime!"

Her eyes lit up. "Really? Can you take us some time soon? Please?"

Oddly, a memory popped up from New Year's Eve in Times Square. A smile curled onto my face as a little plan flourished in my head. "Yeah. I can arrange for something to happen."

"Yay!" With that, she ran out the room, and I heard her stomping on the stairs as she ran up them.

"Be careful! And take a shower! I'm going to order pizza!"

"Okay!" I heard her call to me.

I swear, I love that little girl wirh all my heart.

Kaelynn came home the next day, from her friends' house. She seemed more sour than usual, which I was concerned about. I tried to talk to her, but she would bark at me to leave her alone. Some parents would've punished her for being so rude. But, I left her alone. That was no way for her to open up to me.

I've decided that in order to make Kaelynn actually like me, I will take both her and Charlize to very beautiful places that I've seen before. Well, not in person. But, I've found them on Google, and done a little research and figured out where they were (A/N: Heeheeheeeee! XD). I planned when we're going, what we're doing there, and how long we were going to be there. I've discussed this all with my management (which took a lot of convincing), and they agreed. As long as I wrote a whole song while I was away. And no "sappy nature-related song about love and peace either". Their words, not mine. I happily agreed, and they set everything up. Making sure the paparazzi wouldn't follow us, and all that good stuff. I haven't told Charlize or Kaelynn yet, because I wanted to surprise them. And the first trip was to New York on December 29th. But, lets worry about that later. Today's Char's birthday, and I'm throwing her a party. Just like she wanted.

"Okay, girls! Charlize's room is upstairs, so give me her gifts, and you can go to her room," I said to two of Char's friends, Camren and Angel, whom I've met before once or twice before.

They handed me her gift bags, then hurried up to Charlize's room. I went and sat the presents on the gift table, which were already full of presents from me, Kaelynn, and my mom and dad. My parents sat in the kitchen, where I went to then.

"That was two of Charlize's friends," I informed them with a smile.

"Awww! It's so nice seeing oyr grandbaby have friends, after all she's been through," my mom said. "Ciara, I'm so sorry about making you put them up for adoption. I feel so bad."

"Yes, I do too," my dad agreed. "It was wrong of us. But, you were so young. And not even out of high school! We couldn't let you ruin your life!"

I got a little offended at that moment. "Dad, I know I was young and everything, but they're the best things that have happened to me. And their dad would have loved them so much! I love them! And I'm glad I had them! Okay? I was young and stupid, but they're the best mistake I have ever made. Now, can we move on, and forget about the past?"

Instead of doing the sensible thing, which was moving on, my dad stayed pn the topic. Which was stupid. "No, Ciara. I want to know what was going on through my daughter's head when she decided she was going to have a baby!"

I sighed in slight annoyance. "Dad, no--"

"Ciara, yes. I want an answer. Now."

"It's Charlize's party--"

"Who the heck names their child 'Charlize'? It sounds like an alcoholic drink," my dad spat out, rudely.

"Dad, Charlize is a very beautiful name, and she's not named after alcohol! I don't drink alcohol very much! And you're thinking about Chardonnay! Which is very bad!"

"I don't care, Miss Prissy-Pants. I still want an answer from you."

I clenched my teeth. "Dad, no. I want today to be a nice, happy day, okay? I don't want--"

"Have you told them you're their mother?"

"Carl!" My mother cried out.

My face fell. "N-no--"

"Maybe I should tell them that now," my dad pestered.

"No! You wouldn't do that, Daddy!"

"Oh, I bet you I would! I will do it, if I have to, Ciara. Don't play with me!"

I slowly shook my head. Just the thought of their reactions was enough to make me tear up. This wasn't like my dad. What's going on with him?

"Tell. Me. Now."

I couldn't hold it back anymore. "Because I loved him Dad!" I cried, tears now running down my face. "I loved him so much! He was so sweet and caring! When I had nobody to talk to, he was there! When I had to get away, he was there! He was there for me, and was the only friend I had! I moved around a lot, and he was the only one who stayed in touch! You never accepted him, DAD! You never liked him, DAD! You was trying to 'protect me', DAD! You tried so hard to push him away, and he loved me enough to come back! So, that's what went through my head! Those memories have went through my head just about every day! And, I'm glad Kaelynn and Charlize are here! I am never giving them away EVER again! Nothing and nobody can make me, okay?"

My parents were speechless. My mom had a little smile on her face now, but my dad looked like he was going to kill somebody. He's probably mad, but I wouldn't take anything of what I just said back. I meant every single word. But, I hope none of the kids heard a word of what I just said.

A/N: Ciara's parents. Aren't you going to love the drama that will take place throughout the story? XD I promise you that this was not a filler. Far from it. :D
