Kaelynn's P.O.V.
Ciara has taught Char and I how to swim, which was highly difficult for me. Char got it in no time, being the fast learner she is. I, on the other hand, struggled for a while, before I eventually got it. It took me two hours to get it, because I would panic and splash around, thinking I was going to drown, even though Ciara was holding on to me (-__-).
Anyways, she decided to go underwater and teach us to hold our breaths for the maximum time humans can hold their breaths, which took me atleast 30 minutes to master, and only half the time for Char. Then, we started to explore under the water. It was much bigger than it looked on the outside, above the water. The fish took one look at us and sped away. Char was shaking her shoulders ans covering her mouth, signalling that she was laughing. I swore I saw an eel at some point, and had panicked and swam up for air.
"What's wrong?" Ciara had asked, pushing her hair away.
"I swear I saw an eel," I responded.
"Eels live in the ocean," Char stated.
"Well, this one didn't! It was long and I thought I saw it light up!" I wasn't seeing things. Was I?
"Stop overreacting," Ciara said, patting my shoulder. "No eels will get to you. I promise."
Yeaaaah, suuuuure. But I just submerged back under the clear water instead of saying something else. I don't think they noticed, because they copied my actions and we swam some more.
~
"So, how was your first destination?" Ciara asked us.
We were in the little cave behind the waterfall, legs still in the water. The reflection of the liqiud was bouncing off the walls and our bodies.
"It was...amazing," Char said. She seems to like that saying. A lot.
"Yeah," I agreed. "Thanks for bringing us. Not a lot of people would do that." My cheeks felt oddly warm, and I knew I was blushing. Kind've embarrassing, but the cave was dark enough so you couldn't tell, luckily.
"No problem. I love you guys."
What the heck am I supposed to say to that? Char had responded with an "I love you too!" and a hug. That left me feeling pretty awkward. So, I just continued talking.
"So, how did you find this place?" I asked.
If Ciara was disappointed, she didn't show it. "With Google and other resources. I just knew y'all would love it! At first, I was panicking, thinking you girls wouldn't like it, and..."
I tuned her out because, man can she talk! Just like Charlize. And the way they had that look in their eyes when they blabber about something they love? It's becoming all too weird to me. But, it's just a coincidence. Right?
I stared into the water, and saw a lonesome fish swimming around my ankles. Its scales shimmered from the light on the other side of the falling water. I bent down to stroke it, feeling how slim and smooth it felt against my finger tips. After a few more trips around my ankles, it swam away.
"...time do you want to leave, Kaelynn?"
I was shot back into reality as Ciara was directing a question towards me. My head spun to face her, and no doubt I had a lost expression on my face. "Huh?" I asked, sounding like a complete idiot.
Ciara smiled and repeated, "So, what time do you want to leave?"
Really? It was up to me to say when to leave? Kind of a bad idea since I'm a teenage girl, and teenage girls would want to leave that instant to go texting their friends and get on social media sites. But, I'm not at all like them. I actually enjoy spending time with these two people. Yeah, the girls back home would probably be sending me thousands of texts concerning me and what I'm doing and all that. But, I didn't care at that moment. Because I was really enjoying myself for the first time in forever.
"Hmm, how about...just a little longer?" I suggested.
Ciara nodded, and Char grinned like that cat off of Alice in Wonderland. I never knew what was his name.
~
"It hurts!" Char whinned, looking in the hotel's mirror at her loose tooth.
She has been complaining about her tooth being loose for about a week and a half, not being able to eat hard foods. Only soft things, because Ciara doesn't want her to take it out 'the painful way'. Recently, Char reported that it's way looser, and that it needs to come out. I volunteered to pull it out, since Ciara didn't have the heart to.
"Okay, now stay still," I instructed to Char, as I held a paper towel around the loose tooth. She nodded, then stood perfectly still, eyes clenched tightly closed.
I wiggled the little tooth back and forth, easing it out of it's little gummy spot. Char kept whinning softly, and would make small movements. Finally, it was out and in the paper towel.
"Ooh! Lemme see!" Char said, looking at the bloody tooth.
I heard a squeal behind me, and looked to see Ciara passing out pn the floor. Char and I looked back at each other and simultaneously uttered, "Oops."
A/N: A cute little chap for you peoples. There's the picture of the book cover I have now, since it's pixelated, and there's a video of KayKay pulling out Char's tooth. But, Wattpad won't let me post it here. So, the link will be at the end of this.
Sorry about not updating for a couple of days now. I wasn't in my best mood, dealing with irritating people, people who think everything is a joke, and just plain stress. You would not want to be in my shoes, I swear. Atleast I have three days off next week. I may update again, but I can't make any promises.
Almost a hundred votes?!? Love you guys!
