Distress Call

Several days had passed since Planet Lagoon. You and Yaz had both woken up the next day with sore heads but the doctor was far from sympathetic.

The doctor had taken you all to several stunning planets, purely to relax, and there had been a strict no alcohol rule. You had taken the time to get to know everyone better and had all formed a strong bond.

Ryan had told you all about his dyspraxia and how the doctor was helping him, you and Yaz talked about anything and everything.

Graham had become like a granddad figure to you, "I thought you were trouble when you first joined us" he had told you, "I still think that, but you are actually pretty wonderful, you're what I call a rough diamond" he had laughed.

The doctor had insisted that you should all take those few days of rest, so that your side could heal. With the magic of the doctor's medicine, your bullet wound was now healed nicely, leaving a fading scar.

Over the last few days, you and the doctor had talked for hours. You literally talked about anything.  When you with her, it felt like no time had passed. She had also spent most nights with you, comforting you from any nightmares that woke you. You had grown to love the sound of her heartbeats and the warmth and comfort of snuggling into her.

You walked into the console room, eager for another adventure. "Please can we go on another adventure Doctor? The planet's we've recently been to have been amazing, but I really need some excitement, I can only relax for so long" you laughed.

"Completely agree" the doctor grinned.

"I was quite enjoying the relaxing" Graham mumbled.

"I'm up for some fun" Ryan said.

"Yes, I've missed all the running" Yaz laughed.

"where should we go?" the doctor asked.

As if on cue the Tardis suddenly glowed red and an alarm sounded.

"What's that?" you questioned.

The doctor looked over towards the console, she flicked some switches, the Tardis went back to normal but she was reading from one of the screens.

"Distress signal" she informed you.

"That's odd, it's coming from the planet Tivoli. Tivolian's never normally send out distress calls... They are one of the most cowardly races in the universe, never defend themselves. I've met a couple of them before. Their planet has been conquered many times, they usually just willingly let others take it and try and make them as comfortable as possible... So why are they suddenly asking for help?".

You could see the doctor thinking and a big smile appeared on her face.

"I think we just found out where we're going" she grinned, pulling down the Tardis lever.
