You were out in the open countryside, in the middle of nowhere.

It was dusk, the light was beginning to fade from the sky, leaving a hazy glow.

The moon was out, illuminating the area.

You were standing at the edge of a forest, looking out into endless fields.  You could faintly see some cottages in the distance, the light from a few windows glowed like a lighthouse; guiding a boat to shore.

You turned towards the forest, looking through the trees. They cast spooky shadows from their twisted branches, reminding  you of witch's fingers or the claws of a creature, reaching out, trying to grasp something.

You could see the faint remains of buildings, there ruins hiding amongst the trees.

An eerie fog creeped over the ground, wrapping around your feet and flowing into the distance like smoke.

You felt Goosebumps appear on your arms and a shiver run down your spine. You weren't sure if this was due to the colder air or caused by the creepy atmosphere.

"Well...this isn't creepy at all" you laughed.

"Exactly what I was thinking" Yaz agreed with you, looking around wide eyed.

"It's beautiful in the daylight" Graham said.

"Why does it have to be the evening" Ryan sighed.

"Scared?" you smirked at him.

"No" he replied, rolling his eyes.

"It's just a little bit of fog" the doctor laughed.

"Although..." she said with her brows raised, scanning the area with her sonic;  a worried expression appearing on her face.

"I'm not liking these readings, they're all over the place..."

"When aren't they" you laughed.

"We need to find the source of this energy; it shouldn't be here..." the doctor muttered.

"Should we split up to look around?" Graham suggested.

"Just wait here a sec" the doctor replied, heading back into the Tardis.

She bought out your jackets, all of you gratefully putting them on.

"Each of you take one of these" she instructed, handing you all a torch.

"It's only going to get darker" she said.

"Oh, great!" Graham spoke, sarcastically.

"Where to first?" Yaz asked.

"Well, the signal's strongest in this direction" the doctor said, pointing towards the forest.

"Of course it is!" Ryan sighed.
