You made it through to the engine rooms, the doctor quickly sealed the door shut with her sonic.

Everyone looked defeated, worn out and tired. Trying to cling onto the last bit of hope.

You caught a glimpse of Jada's face as she headed over to the back of the room.

All the light had gone from her eyes, they looked empty and lost, her face filled with pain and grief, from the sudden loss of her brother.

"I'm so sorry Jada, its going to be ok" Jess said softly, moving over to comfort her.

"Is it?" she almost shouted in reply, "because it certainly doesn't feel like it. It doesn't feel ok, It feels like I'll never be ok again! Jamal is dead Jess...and he's never coming back!" Jada's voice was raised, and tears began to stream down her face.

She headed further into the room, you could see her slide down the wall to the floor and sit with her back against it.

Jess looked unsure on what to do.

"Give her a little space, she needs some time to herself, to get her thoughts together and to try and comprehend what's just happened" you said softly.

You knew how she felt, people dealt with loss differently, but she definitely looked like she could use some space to think.

Jess nodded at you sadly.

The doctor moved closer to you and squeezed your hand, offering you a warm smile.

"What do we do doctor? That's three members of the crew gone, one incinerated and two taken over..." Ryan said.

"It's not looking good doc" Graham added.

"Yeah, thanks for the reminder, you two" the doctor said sarcastically.

"But lets look at the positives...we've made it back to the engine room, where we need to be! Jess and Cody, do you have any knowledge on the engines at all? Jada needs some space, if you could start trying to get them up and running again?" The doctor asked.

"We both have some basic knowledge, we'll try anything" Jess replied, as they both headed over to the main engine.

"I'm going to take another look at the fuel tanks and see if we can get them unjammed and able to release the particles, back where they belong" the doctor explained.

"(y/n), Yaz, you can help me, Graham and Ryan, you can be our lookouts" the doctor instructed.

They both went to stand in position, Graham keeping watch at the door one side of the room, Ryan at the other.

"Grab the fire extinguishers...they will cause a nice distraction and can be used to slow down our friends" the doctor explained.

Ryan and Graham both grabbed one and placed it down, next to them.

You headed over to the doctor, but stopped as you passed the air locked door, it led into a smaller pod with the door sealed shut, leading out into deep space, towards the orange swirls of the burning sun.

You looked over at Jada, she was sitting with her head in her hands, you felt so much sympathy for her. You thought about heading over and comforting her, but thought it was best to give her a little bit of time to get her thoughts together.

The doctor had her sonic out and was scanning different parts of the tanks, getting Yaz to push and move different buttons and switches, as she did so.

"Err, doctor...we may have a slight problem" Ryan said.

"Its not Sam or Jamal" he quickly explained, "But Tom is standing the other side of the door...and he wants me to let him in."
