You were sitting on the kitchen counter, your legs dangling down, watching as the doctor twirled around, making you both a hot chocolate.
She was grinning like a child, as she scooped a few heaped teaspoons of cocoa powder into two glass mugs.
"I've heard this makes one of the best hot chocolates in the universe... I just had to get some!" she grinned.
Next came the hot milk, as it poured over the cocoa powder, the most delightful smell of heavenly chocolate wafted to your nose.
"It certainly smells delicious!" you grinned.
"Now for the fun part..." she laughed, beginning to squirt some whipped cream on top, in perfect swirls. She then placed some fluffy marshmallows on top.
"Just a sprinkle of chocolate" the doctor said, as she dusted some over the top.
"I'm so chuffed" she said, as she smiled and scronched her face, admiring her masterpiece.
"They look fantastic" you smiled.
She headed over to you with a mischievous look on her face, one hand was hidden behind her back.
"What are you up to?" you questioned with a raised brow.
She suddenly pulled the can of whipped cream out and squirted it directly on your nose.
"Doctor!!" you squealed but found yourself laughing.
You wiped it off your nose with your finger and flicked it at her, watching as it splatted, all down her face.
"Right that's it!" the doctor said grinning, pointing the can at you.
You quickly held your hands up.
"I surrender" you laughed.
"Not sure if I can let you get away with it that easily..." she smirked.
"Don't you dare..." you glared.
The doctor laughed, shaking the can and squirting the whipped cream, straight in your face.
"Doctor!!!!" you shouted through laughter.
"Come here" she laughed, picking up a tea-towel from the side, and starting to wipe it off you.
You could still see a tiny bit on the end of her nose and gently wiped it off for her.
"You're such a child" you laughed.
"You've still got a little bit on your face..." she said, leaning forwards, "It seems to be on your lips..." she smirked, pulling you closer and kissing you lovingly.
When she pulled away, you could not stop the smile from spreading across your face.
She suddenly put her hands and around your waist and lifted you of the counter, placing you down on the kitchen floor.
She passed you your hot chocolate, it looked delicious.
"Now for some music" she grinned, leading you out of the kitchen, down the corridor and into the library.
At first, you both snuggled up on the sofa to drink.
"Oh my god! That's definitely the best tasting hot chocolate I've ever had!" you exclaimed as you took a sip.
"Told ya" the doctor grinned, taking a sip of hers.
You started to laugh.
"What?" she questioned.
The cream had stuck to her upper lip and she was now sporting a rather fetching moustache.
"You've got a cream moustache" you giggled.
"Oh" she laughed, pulling a funny face, "Does it suit me? I used to have one a long time ago, back when I was a man..." she grinned.
"Come here" you laughed, gently wiping it off of her.
You both chatted away as you finished your drinks.
"Can I sing for you?" you asked.
"I'd love that... you don't need to ask, I always love it when you sing" she smiled warmly.
You headed over to the alcove with the piano and your guitar. A song had already popped into your head that you thought was the perfect one to sing.
You started off at the piano, beginning to work your fingers across the keys, playing the start of the beautiful tune.
The doctor was gazing at you intently.
I found myself dreaming,
In silver and gold.
Like a scene from a movie,
That every broken heart knows. We were walking on moonlight,
And you pulled me close.
Split second and you disappeared,
And then I was all alone.I woke up in tears,
With you by my side.
A breath of relief.
And I realized,
No, we're not promised tomorrow. You looked up at the doctor, she was listening intently, to your every word.
So I'm gonna love you, like I'm gonna lose you,
And I'm gonna hold you, like I'm saying goodbye.
Wherever we're standing,
I won't take you for granted.
'Cause we'll never know when, when we'll run out of time.So I'm gonna love you, like I'm gonna lose you,
I'm gonna love you, like I'm gonna lose you.You quickly made the transition from the piano to your guitar and continued to play, gently strumming the strings. The doctor was still looking at you, you could see tears in her eyes.
In the blink of an eye,
Just a whisper of smoke.
You could lose everything,
The truth is you never know. You headed over to sit on the arm of the sofa beside the doctor.
So I'll kiss you longer baby,
Any chance that I get.
I'll make the most of the minutes,
And love with no regrets. You lent forwards slightly and kissed her gently, before you continued.
Let's take our time, to say what we want.
Here's what we've got, before it's all gone.
'Cause no, we're not promised tomorrow. So I'm gonna love you , like I'm gonna lose you.
I'm gonna hold you, like I'm saying goodbye.
Wherever we're standing,
I won't take you for granted.
'Cause we'll never know when, when we'll run out of time. You put your guitar down and moved into the doctor's lap, singing the last couple of lines softly, looking up at her.
So I'm gonna love you, like I'm gonna lose you.
I'm gonna love you, like I'm gonna lose you.She looked down at you with her kind and caring eyes, leaning forwards; she kissed you gently and whispered in your ear, "That was really beautiful".
