[Tzuyu's POV]

I had finished baking the last batch of the desserts and had thanked Jeongyeon unnie for her help. Today was the day of the picnic and I had been restless over it. The others were at the venue doing last minute decorations and details.

Yesterday we had did a small get-to-together with Sana to celebrate her birthday. It was fun and of course it was an all girls day although Jungkook joined us for a short period of time before we stole her away. Needless to say, she enjoyed herself and she had a good time. She also loved the present I had given her. I just hoped to see the same reaction from Taehyung once he saw mine.

"So what did you get him?" asked Jeongyeon unnie, drying off one of the dishes.

"Nothing much, just a camera," I said, continuing to pack the basket.

I turned away once I heard Jeongyeon cough loudly. "Sorry! I chocked on my saliva, but did you just say a camera?!"

I nodded my head, still confused on the big deal. This was just a simple gesture and most importantly a thank you gift to say how much I appreciate him for helping me whenever I have and will continue to have troubles. After all, I could be more open with him since I didn't have to see him everyday and he reminded me much of my older brother.

"I forgot how much of a big gift giver you are!" said Jeongyeon. She even pointed out to necklace that I had given her for her birthday. It was true that I had been a big giver because I had grew up with parents that would have a heart attack if I dare give one of their clients or colleagues kids', an inexpensive gift for their birthday. It was all about their image, but for me, I wanted to put more heart into it.

"So is that everything?" She asked, peeking into the basket. I nodded as I double checked everything. My plan was almost active, now all I had to do was go there.

Once there, I had been welcomed by him. Well not exactly-

"I've waited almost an hour, and here you come walking over here without a care in the world and..." his eyes trailed toward the basket. "What's this?!"

I held the basket up confidently. "We are having a picnic!" I pulled out the blanket and laid it out on the grass. I had knew I had been late since I had to help Jeongyeon unnie clean up and I had rushed home to get ready. Although it was cold outside, I made sure wear a cute and modest outfit, especially since we would be at a party after this.

"What's the occasion?" He asked. I could hear him growing suspicion, but I shrugged it off. If I could lie to myself about my parents loving me, then I could certainly lie to him for a few hours.

"Nothing special, but I wanted to thank you for helping me these last few days." Okay, so I didn't necessarily lie, but I'm not telling the entire truth.

He opened the basket and peeked inside the containers. "This is a big thank you, then." I could see him smile from the corner of my eyes as he examined all the containers.

"You really thought of everything, huh?"

I nodded my head, taking the utensils from the pack. "I wanted to give you a proper 'thanks' for everything you've done. Turns out you're not so bad."

I remember how my first impression was on him. I remember how I found him arrogant and annoying at times, but these days he had looked out for me. I wanted him to know how grateful I was for his help, and a part of me also wanted to prove to him how he could trust me. Ever since that night where he surprisingly announced Minhyuk's return and accused me of being untrustworthy; I wanted to prove him wrong ever since.
