Roman sobbed softly into Mrs. Fluffy Bottom (You know, from that vine?), and hugged the toy.

He had bad nights like this sometimes. Scratch that, all the time. The tears went steadily like a stream. He covered his mouth and tried to hold back a sob. He made a strange wheezing sound, choking on his own tears. He knew that the makeup must've washed off by now, letting those freckles show themselves. Letting the bags under his eyes show themselves. 

Roman was surprised to hear knocking on his door. The princely trait wiped his eyes hastily and approached the door, plastering an arrogant smile on his face. He opened the door to find Virgil the insomniac. 

"Hello, Emo Burrito, what is it that you request from me?" He exclaimed, carefully putting enough tiredness in his voice to drive away any other side. Unfortunately, Virgil was not any other side.

"Why are your eyes red and puffy?" Virgil asked, crossing his arms. 
Roman shifted his weight from foot to foot. Virgil sighed and stepped into Roman's room. The mood in there seemed to give away how bad Roman felt. 

Roman chewed his bottom lip, watching Virgil survey the room. The mess on the desk and crumpled paper in the bin. 

"Tell me what's wrong." 

Roman tried to drop the rising emotions, but they came bursting out like a broken dam. He pressed a hand to his mouth and he made a choking noise. sobs wracked his body, and he crumpled into the anxious side's arms. 

They sat on the bed together. Virgil ran his fingers through the creative trait's hair, whispering small comforts.

"I g-guess I never feel good enough..." Roman mumbled into the shirt, clutching it like a lifeline. "I don't w-want t-the split to be for n-nothing."

Virgil hugged the trait tightly and whispered sharply, "You can be imperfect, nothing has to be completely perfect. Nothing can be perfect."

Roman nodded weakly, snuggling closer into Virgil. Virgil whispered one last thing before they both drifted to sleep,

"You are perfectly imperfect..."
