Mariel hummed, her scarlet dress trailing the unnatural green grass of the imagination. Roman trudged after her.

"How's DW?" He asked, making small talk.

Mariel gave the implication of rolling her eyes and Roman chuckled.

"Elphaba is fine, just insufferable as always," Mariel sighed, her wings fluttering with indignation and irritation.

They entered the castle and sat at the balcony, having a tea party.

It was a strange concept, but the kingdom was shared equally between the twins at some point. But of course, they locked away the only other side who he could relate to. So he tried to not be himself, be better so Thomas wouldn't lock him away either. He sighed gloomily and considered jumping off.

Mariel tutted and add some more sugar to his tea.

"Why don't you go visit him? It may end ugly but sides can't die. Only suffer for extended periods of time." She chirped cheerfully, her dark brown eyes twinkling with a sort of amusement.

"Why is my suffering entertaining?"

"I can't help think about how similar you are to the late Julius" She hummed, dipping her biscuit in her tea. It was a habit of the fairy's and even it didn't matter what tea it was.

"What? Was he depressed too or what?"

"Yes, actually, that's why he split. Pressure and self-hatred caused him to basically split in two for it to be easier. But actions come with consequences and by Jupiter's lightning bolt, it affected both of you. He split himself, and you two had to deal with most of the consequences,"

Roman blinked rapidly, "That was...very convenient."

Mariel shrugged, "You weren't depressed before, just super insecure."

"Fair enough,"

The godmother ate her biscuit and summoned a red flower crown.

"You may not want to go back soon, and that's fine, you don't have any expectations here. Be yourself! Garden! Release your hair from the horrors of hair dye!" She chirped, plopping the crown on his head and added, "Don't kill yourself is the only rule!"

She looked him up and down and clicked her fingers, replacing his black undershirt with a more comfortable shirt and jeans.

"Come on! Let's visit your brother and have some communication time!"

She stretched out her hand to him enthusiastically.

He smiled hesitantly and glanced at the tower again.

"Sure, let's"

He took her hand.
