"I'M SORRY FOR that idiot" Cassi said once they were a good distance away from Draco. "He really doesn't know what to speak."

"But why do even speak for him?" Ron asked. "He's nothing but a bully and an idiot."

"Oh shut up Ron." Cassi said rolling her eyes. "I agree that Draco is a bully and an idiot, but he's my best friend."

"I can't even imagine how you can be friends with him." Ron said under his breath.

"But why did he say that 'Father won't be happy'?" Harry asked who quite for a while. They all seemed confused as to why Draco's father will be angry if Cassi got into detention. Oh, how little they knew.

"My family is an American pureblood family." she lied and told them the fake backstory she came up with. "And my parents are very close with the Malfoys. I have lived with the Malfoy family since I was born."

"But then what about your parents?" Hermione asked.

"They are in America." Cassi said feeling a little bad that she was lying to them. "They come visit me every year."

"But why did they send you to the Malfoys to be raised?" Harry asked.

"They both are Aurors, so it was difficult for them to raise me. and moreover all my family has attended Hogwarts. They thought it was better for me to be raised here." Cassi came up with an excuse.

"If you're raised by the Malfoys, then how can you be so good?" Ron asked before he could stop himself. "I mean for a Slytherin you're shockingly nice." Cassi laughed, not offended at all, and shrugged.

In the whole day, Cassi had only the History of Magic with the Gryffindors. Hermione was more of her friend. Ron was merely an acquaintance and, Harry; well he passed her smile whenever they met. When she returned to Draco she was given a good lecture on how she shouldn't associate with the blood traitors and mudbloods. Cassi knew he was not going to rat her out to her uncle right now, but at home he would surely do it. Because Draco never leaves any chance to impress his father and mother. Cassi didn't argue with him, but instead emotionally tortured him, that he had no choice but to agree with her friendship with the Gryffindors.

During lunch she received letters from her uncle and aunt, telling her how proud they were when she got into Slytherin, keeping the legacy of their families. She also got another letter from that person, whom she hasn't heard from for a long time. It was her mother. Last time she spoke to her mother, she was eight, and she was getting a lesson on pureblood views and their family legacy. This time Bellatrix was congratulating her for getting into Slytherin house. Telling Cassi how much proud she was for her daughter. To anyone, this letter must have looked full of mother's love, but to Cassi, it wasn't. She could see the the ambitious plans working behind her mother's mind relating her.
