THE HOLIDAYS FOR CASSI weren't great at all. Lucius liked to keep track of the people she and Draco were friends with. And it was her luck that she spent more time with people in her house, than her Gryffindor friends. Not many people knew about her friendship with Harry, Ron and Hermione. But her luck was only so far, because Draco had to slip about her being friendly with Harry and Ron. He didn't meant to do it, because he looked guilty after it. But he corrected himself that was only once when she was paired with them in Charms.

But it was Lucius they were talking about, and he wasn't the one to be fooled. And she was given a warning that if she was seen with those blood traitors again, he would take her to visit her mother, again. Yes, she had visited her mother once, but it was story for another time. But she was glad Draco didn't mention Hermione, otherwise she would be visiting Azkaban very soon. The Malfoys, of course took Cassi as their own child, but going against their views wasn't accepted at all.

Cassi wrote letters to Harry, Hermione and Ron, in the night so that she wouldn't be caught by anyone. But suspiciously Harry wasn't answering to any of her letters. So on his birthday, she sent her gift to Ron instead of Harry, with a letter telling the circumstance and informing to give it Harry as soon as he meets him. The gift was not something really great like last year Christmas gift; because she didn't have money and she couldn't ask anyone else for it. It was a small enchanted toy of boy riding on his broomsticks.

Once the letter from Hogwarts arrived, Cassi along with the Malfoys went to the Diagon Alley to buy books and other stuff. Arriving at Flourish and Blotts, Draco dragged Cassi with him upstairs as down was a large crowd of people waiting for a certain person, 'Gilderoy Lockhart'. She started going through random books, just when Cassi was called by Draco who was leaning from the railing.

"Cassi, come here and look." Cassi looked downstairs to see a blonde wizard standing.

"Isn't he Gilderoy Lockhart?" She asked Draco, furrowing her eyebrows.

"Yeah, he is." He nodded. "What do you think of him?"

"Truthfully, he doesn't even look worthy enough a knut."

"Thanks Merlin you're not a fan girl of him." Draco sighed in relief. "I don't know how I would have to deal with you then."

"Do I look so stupid to you to believe that bloke?" Cassi said scoffing.

"I heard he's a great wizard."

"Think logically Draco." said Cassi. "The things he claims to do himself can't be done alone. You need the help of someone somewhere. And what he says is totally nonsense. I would be a fool to believe him."
