Cole X Kai

Crystal Retrieval and the defeat

Cole, Jay, and Zane all landed on some rocks covered in glowing agley. They heard the fighting from above and Cole hoped Kai could hold off against Morro. They looked around and saw a skeleton holding a crystal it was no doubt the body of the master of spinjitzu. They all bowed in respect and Zane took the crystal. Just then a loud boom happened and Kai was flung into the back wall and dropped to the ground as he got back up panting with beads of sweating going down his face. Cole immidantly helped his boyfriend up as Morro appeared at the ledge holding a weak Lloyd. "I'm sorry...I couldn't hurt Lloyd," Kai pants. "You did your best," Cole assures. "Give me the realm crystal or else," Morro said holding the sword to Lloyd's throat. "No don't," Lloyd said pitifully. The ninja were all looking at each other either option meant losing. "Kai can you summon at least a sprinkle?" Jay asks desperately. Kai lifted his hand and focused suddenly a strong blast came out and Cole dropped him moving back. "Watch it," Cole hisses. "Summon any more water and he gets it!" Morro threatens. "I didn't mean for that it's like when... wait?" Kai closes his eyes and summoned a flame. "Morro's not in Lloyd our powers ae returning," Kai said as they each tested their powers. "Yeah but like Lloyd they're weak," Jay whines.

Kai took the crystal and used his fire to heat it up to a burning degree. "Times up!" Morro said about to slit Lloyd's throat. "Wait!" Kai said and threw the crystal at Morro who caught it but was burned by the heat coming off it. He screamed and dropped it like Lloyd and they both fell into the river. "THE CRYSTAL!" Morro yells. "LLOYD!" The ninja yelled. Morro raced forward but Jay and Zane held him off. Cole tried getting Lloyd but he was to far in the river and he couldn't touch the water. "He's going to drown!" Cole exclaims. "I can't swim!" Kai exclaims. "What type of water master can't swim? I'm a ghost just use you powers," Cole said. Kai was weak but did his best. He took a deep breath and focused on moving Lloyd back. Lloyd was trying to stay a float the best he could then Cole was able to grab his hand thanks to Kai moving the tides. Lloyd was pulled onto the ground and Kai falls to one knee panting he got back up though and tried grabbing the realm crystal before Morro did but he was blasted back with wind. Morro grabbed the crystal Kai tried blasting Morro with water but he just went through the roof. "We need to go after him!" Jay said. "We can't Lloyd's too weak," Cole said as he and the others looked over Lloyd.

Morro resurfaces and saw his ghosts boat sinking thanks to the bounty's cannons. Morro growls but used the realm crystal to get away. The crew on the bounty looked to the caves and to they're relief they come out with Lloyd leaning on Kai for support. "SON!" His parents cheered. "You all gave up so much for me," Lloyd said grateful. "You were worth it," Kai said. "And we got our powers back," Zane said happily. "Wait a minute? Did Kai blast water or was I hallucinating?" Lloyd asked. They all laughed. "You've missed out on quite a bit green bean," Cole chuckles.

They all headed back to the tea shop meeting Cyrus Borg who gave most of them cool new mechs and a upgrade on Nya's samurai X suit. "Even with all these cool new mechs how are we going to get even close to Morro?" Lloyd asks. Cole hopped off his bike and pushed Kai to the front of the group. "By giving them something they've never seen before a water ninja," He said proudly. Kai instantly gets cold feet. "But I'm nowhere near-" he starts before being interrupted. "Kai you haven't even opened your true potential and you already show more skill than your mother ever had. You can win this fight if you just let go of your worries," Garmadon said. Kai felt a hand on his shoulder and looked behind him to see Cole smiling encouragingly. "You got this firebird or should I say waterbird now?" Cole jokes earning a laugh from Kai. "Okay let's do this," Kai said confident.

The plan was set they arrived at Stixx that was filled with ghosts. Everyone was playing their part to help the ninja dressed in green get to the realm crystal. Nya got some ghosts to chase her, Jay distracted some others, Cole made some pass out from dancing, and Zane pretended to be a clutz and drop a bucket of water by accident. Finally the ninja in green managed to get to the base before he was surrounded by ghosts and Morro himself thanks to the dragon spotting him. "Well well well if it isn't the green ninja how does it feel to know that you've lost?" Morro asked as ghosts held him down. He stays silent glaring under his mask. Morro grabbed his collar and hefted him up. "You got the gi handed to you well I've earned it!" Morro shouts and still the ninja in green stays silent. "What's wrong cat got your tongue?" Morro asks mockingly and took off the mask to reveal a grinning Kai who he dropped in shock. "Sorry I was a little water logged," Kai jokes summoning orbs of water in his hands. "He's a water elemental! Protect the crystal!" Morro orders yelling as Kai took out the ghosts surrounding him before going one on one with Morro. "Time for round two," Kai said creating water katanas in his hands.
