Retrieving the blade

Kai''s POV

Why does Cole have to be so selfless pushing my dad and the rest of my family out of the way so he could take the hit. He was aging so rapidly it was worst then Wu it had only been two and a half hours as we jouneyed to the boiling sea and he alreadly looked like he was in his fifties with greying hair. The twins had left the others at the swamp except for dad and Nya also Cole who was sitting on a chair that was at least provided. "I'll be fine stop worrying," Cole said as he got another grey strand in his raven locks. "No you aren't," I responded. "Are we there yet?" I asked. "Impatient are we?" Krux asks mockingly. I was gonna snap at him but dad put a hand on my shoulder calming me down. "We are almost there son," He saidlooked over at Nya I knew once down there I would be reckless and quick probaly getting myself killed I needed someone with me.

"Nya? I'm probaly going to need your help," I said to her. She smiles supportivly and nodded while dad was against it. "No your sister is not going with you I might loose you going down there I can't loose her too," Dad said. "Dad if I'm anything like you or what Wu and Garmadon have told us is that I'm reckless and let my emotions get in the way of my better judgement. I need Nya to keep me from getting myself killed," I argued back. "It's true he is reckless," Nya adds. Dad sighed. "If you're mother was here she would say you got that from me," He said with a small bit of humour.

"We're here," General Moccia announces. "Please dad I need her," I pleaded and dad gave in. "Give him the dragon blade it's the key no blade no time," Dad said. "We do have three time blades I don't see the harm," Krux said handing me the blade. "Okay the only way down is to make the fusion dragon with the sword," Dad explains. I threw it in the air and shot my elements making a wicked cool dragon. "Now remember the key to the blade is," Dad starts before I glance at Cole who wasn't looking like he could last much longer.

"We'll figure it out down there come on!" I urged Nya and jumped onto the dragon with her as we dove into the ocean.

Third person on the ship

Ray watched as his two kids disappeared under the ocean floor. He turned to Cole who's entire head of hair had gone white and he was even looking like he could barely stand or stay awake.

"Why did you do it?" Ray asks him. Cole looked up at Ray. "They had only just gotten you back I couldn't let them loose you or Maya again," Cole responded with a shrug. "But now you're older than me Kai could loose you too," Ray argues. "It's okay he'll get the blade I know he will," Cole said hopeful. "How do you know?" Ray asked. "I just do he's never let me down before why start now?" Cole questions. Ray's silent for a moment. "You really love my son don't you?" Ray asks and Cole looked over. "With every beat of my heart," Cole answers with passion.

"Well it won't be beating much longer," Acronix points out with a taunting laugh.

Kai's POV

We entered the cave and after Nya saved me from plunging to my death, knew I needed her, we used my water powers to make a water slide and slid down. Once we were at the bottom I saw a building and started running to it only to be stopped by Nya.

"Kai remember the traps dad talked about? I know your worried about Cole but just wait," Nya chides me and I grunted as we slowly walked up to the building. Suddenly the nearby boulders started moving and I looked seeing them turn into giant rock monsters!

"RUN!" I yelled as I blasted it with fire. "Kai try water they seem to be mostly magma," Nya said. I do as she asks and it started steaming and falling apart. "It's the steam! Kai blast both at them," Nya orders and I did so blasting them all with steam. It worked because my sister was always right. We high five and then go to the building. I blast the door with water and fire but nothing happened. I started panicking and blasting it harder.

"No! No! No! Open! Open please open," I beg banging and kicking the door with all my strength. "Kai calm down let's think this through," Nya chides me. I turned to her. "How!? Cole needs the blade and it won't open!" I exclaimed. Nya ignores my ranting and looks at the symbol on the door then at the blade.

"Dad said the blade was the key do you think he meant that literally?" Nya asks. "Worth a try," I responded and put the blade in. It fit and I twisted it as it opens the door much to my excitement and in the middle on a petal was the reversal blade. I ran over and picked it up. "Come on Cole needs this," I said and she nodded and I summoned the dragon again.

Third person POV

Ray was helping Cole try to stay away as he was nearing his nineties. "Your son better hurry or he won't last much longer," Moccia said. As if on cue the dragon roars as it disappeared landing on the deck was Kai and Nya with the time blade. As fast as lightning before anyone could move Kai went to Cole and tapped him gently with the blade careful not to turn him into a baby. Cole then started getting younger until he stopped at his original age and opened his eyes getting up.

"Knew you could do it," Cole said as Kai hugged him tightly kissing him. "I never thought I would see my children kiss anyone," Ray comments. "Now give us the blade," Krux orders. "As if," Kai responds getting into a fighting stance with the rest of his family. "Get them!" Acronix orders.

The vermillion on board attack Kai, Nya, Ray, and Cole full force. Acronix and Krux try going for Kai the most since he had the reversal blade but he blocked all the attacks and even reversed time a couple of times. Ray had a lot of pent up anger and was a absolute monster as he took out the vermillion with rage. Nya held her own pretty well taking out vermillion as easy as her father fighting like it was a dance. Kai and Cole fought together with ease practically reading the others mind as they each took on a twin. Alas Krux shot a pause blade at Ray and each sibling turned worried for their father. It gave Acronix a opening and he kicked the reversal blade away from Kai and Krux picked it up. "Sorry to leave you but we'll be going now," Krux said than paused them all.

The ship flew off without them and a minute later the effects of the blade wore off and they started falling. "Summon the dragon!" Nya yells. Kai shot his two elements into the fusion blade and summoned the dragon catching everyone. "Now let's stop those twins!" Kai exclaims flying off.

With the others

Jay and Lloyd had managed to get all of the people out but couldn't find the rest of the team anywhere. "Where could they be?" Lloyd wonders out loud. Suddenly a bunch of the eggs started hatching and the pair was surrounded. "Come at us you vermillion woos!" Jay challenges. "Jay! Don't patronize the enemy!" Lloyd yells at him. Just as they were surrounded a giant spray of water came out of nowhere and knocked them all away as the remains slithered away.

"Hey good job Kai," Lloyd said turning to the source to not see Kai but a women who looked a lot like Nya and Zane with Cyrus Borg. "So you must be Lloyd and Jay I'm Maya it's a pleasure to meet you," Maya said in a charming voice. Jay starts stuttering. "Hi mrs. Smith your daughter is really nice," Jay said in a stuttering voice. "Are you my daughter's boyfriend my son mentioned?" Maya asks with a squinting expression. "That's me Jay master of lightning super funny comedian of the group," Jay said with a nervous laugh at the end. Maya smiles. "Hurt my daughter in anyway and I'll have you terrified to even consider going in the shower," Maya threatens. Jay squeaks and hid behind his nunchucks. The others laughed. "Kai already made that threat," Zane said. "Speaking of Kai where is he? And Nya, Cole and where's your husband?" Lloyd asks. The three's faces fell. "They left to retrieve the blade because when Acronix tried hitting Ray with a time punch Cole blocked it and now he's rapidly aging. The reversal blade is the only way to save him," Maya explains saddened. Everyone is silent when they heard a ship over head that headed to the warehouse.

"That's the twins they must have the blade we need to stop them before they travel back in time," Maya said and the ninja including Borg rushed to the warehouse. By the time they got there though it was too late as the twins started up the iron doom. "How will we stop them now?" Jay asks. Lloyd suddenly points up. "Look!" He exclaims. Everyone looked up seeing a red and blue dragon flying their way. "They're alive!" Maya exclaims with joy.

"We're not going to get there in time we need more speed," Kai said frustrated. "Then I'll give you that speed," Nya said and jumped off with her father landing safely. "Your father is awesome," Cole comments. Kai blushes but focused on getting through the portal with the twins. In a flash of light the iron doom and the dragon are gone.

"Kai," Nya said. "Cole," Jay said. "Where did they go?" Lloyd asks. "Not where but when," Ray said.
