Cole X Kai

Shintaro

Kai and Cole were reading a book too the triplets trying too get them too say a word. Everyone else was doing chores, but looking after the "triple terrors," as Ray calls them was enough of a chore. They were in the nursery and had a camera set up for their first words.

"Come on say daddy," Cole coaxes. "Come on tell mummy how great I am," Kai coos. Lily, Onyx, and Oscar all just look at them with zero clue what they are saying. "Come on ma ma," Kai spells out. "Or da da," Cole said. "They are gonna say mama," Kai sing songs. "No they are gonna say dada," Cole said. "Mama," Kai responds.

"Dada," Cole said.

"Mama,"

"Dada,"

"Mama,"

"Dada,"

"Ecko!" A pitched voice squeals. Both parents look at Onyx who just said that. "What was that sweetie?" Kai asks. "Ecko!" Onyx repeats with a proud smile. They looked at each other and shrug they still had two more. "Great job baby boy," Kai picks up Onyx and sat him in his lap kissing his head as Onyx keeps squealing "Ecko,"

"Hey Echo come here!" Cole yelled. A few moments later Echo pops his head in the room. "Are you in need of my assistance?" Echo asks. "No listen. Say it again little pebble," Cole encourages. Onyx looks at Echo and smiles pointing. "Ecko!" He said in delight and Echo smiles. "Aww that makes my day," Echo said in delight. Oscar wanting some attention crawls over to Cole and tapped his knee. Cole looked at him and Oscar said. "Dada" Cole lights up and lifts him in the air letting his legs dangle. "Here that? He said dada," Cole said sticking his tongue out at Kai who glares playfully at the boys before looking at his little girl. "Come on baby girl say mama," Kai coos. Lilly does not say anything and Echo said. "Maybe she is a little later than her brothers. Babies pick up different skills at different times," Echo said. "Oh well bet she'll be the first too start walking," Kai said with a shrug while Cole was spoiling the two boys with hugs and kisses. Kai of course gave his love too the two, but was not neglecting Lilly.

"Hey guys check this out!" Jay yelled excited. They got up Kai carrying Lilly while Cole carried the boys. "What is it?" Cole asks. The others were gathered around a card and Lilly waves her hand through the magic hologram sword because it was sparkly. "What is it?" Cole asks. "It is a letter from the kingdom Shintaro," Nya said. "It is believed that the kingdom was a myth until recently due too its exclusive mountain ranges in the northern part of Ninjago," Zane said. "Well what does it say? The card looked really fancy," Kai said and Cole sniffs it. "And smells fancy right boys?" Cole asks gesturing to his two boys who both just give baby noises. "King Vangless has courtesy invited you the ninja," Zane began. "Of course," Jay said modesty. "To the birthday celebration of princess Vania. All the ninja are allowed to attend including the red and black ninjas children. Safety is promised upon arrival at Shintaro," Zane finishes. "Who is princess Vania?" Jay asks. "The daughter of king Vangless I guess, "Nya answers looking at the card. "Very few have been invited too the ivory city of Shintaro only a handful of invitations have been sent," Zane said. "I heard they have wings there," Lloyd said. "We should get going then," Cole said already excited.

"Oh and before we forget the boys finally said their first words," Kai said. "Come on boys say it again," Cole coos. "Ecko!" Onyx giggles. "Dada," Oscar said and everyone awes at them. "That is quite nice. Have fun all of you," Sensei Wu said sitting down and everyone looked at him. "He's in a funk," Lloyd whispers and they nodded in understanding. "Come on sensei Wu don't you want to check out a awesome mythical city?" Lloyd asks. "Mystical cities are for the young. I have visited my fair share," Wu said content. "Oh come on compared to grandma your a toddler," Lloyd reminds. "Plus you aren't a day over a hundred," Jay adds and Wu gave a unamused expression. "Wu come on it will be fun," Lloyd said. Wu gave a cross of his arms and sat down content in staying there. "Master come on the triplets would miss you," Kai said. "They do not like me," Wu said. "Oh come on they are babies of course they are gonna pull your beard occasionally," Cole said. "I do not care I am staying," Wu said. "Well if you stay then your probably going to want to stay with dad," Lloyd started. "I am going," Wu said and quickly left to pack. "What was so wrong with staying with sensei G?" Zane asks. "Well grandma has been in her own funk and it is this reliving her youth funk. Let's just say mum and dad owe the aquarium a new shark," Lloyd said. "Shark are big jerks," Kai mutters.

"Anyway let's get packing," Lloyd said and they all cheered.

Later

"You know maybe strapping them into titanium car seats are a bit much," Nya said. "Better safe then sorry," Kai shrugs as he got the three to sleep. "I agree the amount of times we have almost crashed are more than I care to count," Zane said.

The bounty was flying over some mountain ranges as the ninja just looked at the view and the triplets were in the kitchen strapped in some car seats sleeping. "So why is Shintaro so exclusive?" Wu asks to make conversation. Zane closes a book he was reading about Clutch Powers research on the whole. "It is because of the mountain ranges and legend says that there was a evil dragon, but it was destroyed long ago. Historians are unsure who destroyed it though because all found writings have different names that are similar to the others found," Zane said. "Anything else?" Cole asks. "It was also believed that there are winged bat beasts that roam the mountains. Historians are unsure if they are real or not," Zane said. Jay scoffs and looked at the beautiful view over the railing. "That has got to be a myth," Jay said. Just as he finished that a winged bat thing swooped in and grabbed him with his claws flying away with him before they could stop it.

"NOT A MYTH NOT A MYTH!" Jay screams in terror. More swooped in and started attacking the ship. Cole saw one flying by and jumped on it grabbing its ears as it screeches. "Come on you over grown bat let's go say hi to your friend," Cole said guiding the giant animal to his friend in blue. Meanwhile the others were trying to keep the bounty from being torn apart. Kai had climbed up the mast pole and was shooting fire at the beasts to keep them away. Lloyd, Nya, and Zane were trying to keep the Destiny's Bounty from crashing into a mountain. Wu was holding on for dear life to the bottom of the mast pole.

Jay was still in the talons of the bat creature and it was getting way to high for his comfort. "You know maybe we could just go back to the ship?" Jay asks the thing that just shrieks in response. "Didn't really think so," Jay said glumly. A different bat creature flew past and knocked Jay out of it's talon's dropping him so he free fell. Jay screams as he fell before his hand was caught and he looked up to see Cole holding him as he held on for dear life to a bat creature. "You owe me," Cole gasps out. The bat thing shook them both off and they scream free falling. Kai spotted them falling and quickly shot a stream of water grabbing them both. He used the momentum and they swung under the hall and landed right back on the deck stiff as boards. "Looks like I owe him," Jay jokes. "You owe both of us," Cole responds before ducking his head as a bat thing flew over them. That same back thing took out the mast and Kai quickly hopped off it and landed in Cole's arms. The large shift in weight causes the bounty to tip too the side and everyone grabs onto everything that was nailed down. The bat things realizing that the flying ship was going crash quickly flew off, but the ninja did not have wings to fly off on. Before the bounty crashed into the mountain Lloyd yelled.

"BRACE FOR IMPACT!" Everyone did just that, but the ship did not crash into the snowy mountain side. "What the?" Zane asks in shock. "Why didn't we crash? Not that I am complaining," Jay said. Nya looked over the side and smiles in glee and awe. "Maybe because of them," She points and they all looked over the side too see pale skinned people in gold armor and gold wings that glimmer as they move steady the Destiny's Bounty. "Who are they?" Wu asks. One of them flew over to them and landed on the deck with a graceful bow. "I am the captain of Shintaro's guard Hailmar. We are sorry for the trouble," Hailmar apologizes to them. "It is quite fine," Master Wu said. Kai and Cole went and checked on the triplets who were okay thanks to their secured seats and only just waking up from their afternoon nap. They are like Cole when it comes to sleeping. It takes a giant gong rung at least twice to wake him up in the mornings. "The welcoming committee is one of the reasons we discourage visitors. For their own safety," Hailmar explains and turned smiling. "Welcome to the Ivory City of Shintaro," Hailmar said and everyone looks in awe at the city before them. Nestled in-between fluffy white clouds on a giant mountain almost as if it was a pillar for the glorious city was the kingdom of Shintaro and was as beautiful as the legends told with everything made of ivory and coated in gold with green vines covering a few of the cities walls. The guard was guiding the ship towards the city and as they got closer they could see more people with golden wings just floating around graceful as a soft breeze.

"Well you don't see that everyday," Cole said in awe.
