Cole X Kai

You need it

"Nope not going," Kai said as Cole tried getting him to go. "Come on Kai you need a day to relax," Cole said. "And I am relaxing," Kai responds.

"Your watching them while they are asleep," Cole said gesturing to the babies sleeping. "You make that sound creepy," Kai said. "It is creepy," Cole said. Kai just shrugs his shoulders and goes back to watching his babies. He had been doing this since he got back from the never realm. "Kai we have baby monitors, trackers, five different levels of security, and Echo as a babysitter," Cole points out. "Not leaving," Kai said crossing his arms. Cole sighed and left the room in defeat. The others were in the playroom and Cole walked in flopping on the couch. "He said no?" Jay asks and Cole nodded. They all agreed that if Kai wanted to ever do missions he needed to learn to be separated from their children for more than a few minutes. Nya sighed and got out her phone texting someone. "Nya what are you doing?" Cole asks. "Calling in the big guns," Nya answers.

Half a hour later

"Kai Ash Smith you are going out for the day and you are going to like it!" Maya scolds her son who was getting Lilly dressed. When Nya said big guns she meant calling their mother and father. "Nya you traitor!" Kai yelled to his sister who was holding in giggles at the door frame. "Kai do you want to still be doing missions?" Cole asks. "Yes," Kai answers. "Then you need to learn to spend time away from them. So we are letting Ray and Maya look after them today while we just relax for the day," Cole said. "Come on son we did a good job with you until we got kidnapped....the point is we got you threw your baby years," Ray said. Kai was still skeptical. "Kai I want time with my grandchildren," Maya said. Kai bit his bottom lip in thought. "Fire bird they will be fine," Cole said. "Fine, but if anything happens call me," Kai said. Almost immediately Maya pushed Kai and Cole out of the monastery.

"Have fun sweetie and stay safe," Maya said before she closed the door. Kai and Cole stood there for a moment before the latter shrugs grabbing Kai's hand and pulling him away. "Where are we going?" Kai asks. "Just a plain and simple time for fun like the aquarium," Cole answers.

Inside the monastery

"So you two all good? And thanks for coming on such short notice," Nya thanks her parents. "Oh it was nothing sweetie we were quite bored anyway. Have fun with Jay for your bonding thing," Ray said. "Help me please," Jay said as Nya drags him out the door. Pixal and Zane were off on a date, Echo was assisting Borg with security, Wu was catching up with his mother, so they were all alone with the triplet. "Aww Oscar and Onyx look just like Kai when he was a baby," Maya said tickling Oscar's and Onyx's tummy's gently making them laugh. "Now they have just started crawling and they said they still haven't baby proofed the house yet, so we need to be aware and...are you even listening Maya?" Ray asks his wife. Maya was changing Lilly in a pale blue fairy outfit with little wings. "Wasn't that Nya's?" Ray asks. "Oh hush up Ray I've been waiting for this since they told us we were having grandkids," Maya scolds her husband. Ray just sighed and looked at what else Maya (and him too a little) insisted on bringing. The triplets were one of the most toy spoiled babies in Ninjago. They got toys from lots of random citizens, family, friends, and the parents themselves especially from the father. So many that most of them were sent to various children charity's and daycares because there was simply no room for them. He spotted two onesies a lion and a rhino. "Hey Maya," Ray said and Maya looked up from putting Lilly in the play pen. She took one look at the two onesies and jumped up and down. Ray put Oscar in the lion one and Maya put Onyx in the rhino onesie.

They got put in the play pen as well and the grandparents played with them for a while. Maya left to go change Lilly's diaper and Ray left the two alone for a minute to grab some baby food. When he came back the two boys were no where to be seen. Ray had left the play pen door open and they had crawled out. Ray panicked. He wasn't sure if he was more afraid of. The babies getting hurt or his son and daughter killing him.
