It's just food poisoning right?

(Just saying I have zero clue how long it takes until you can actually tell someone is pregnant so if I get anything wrong on how long it takes to actually become pregnant after being knocked up blame it on the magic berries and the symptoms are going to be from a very brief read on the first thing that came up on the internet when searching pregnancy symptoms and I mean very brief)

Ninjago city was fully repaired almost from the Children of evil's brief reign and Lord G was in the most secured holding cell ever created. Cole and Kai got back from their honeymoon in happy spirits. Right now today Cole had to leave early in the morning and would be gone most of the day helping around Ninjago and doing some interviews with news crews while Kai stayed back to help clean up the new monastery. It was only Kai and Zane at the monastery since everyone else was out doing something. Kai woke up with the feeling he was going to be sick and rushed to his bathroom in his room and threw up in the toilet. Once done Kai groans. "Ugh why did I eat Cole's chilli? I knew it would give me food poisoning, but no he just had to give me the puppy eyes," Kai said to himself and cleaned himself up before going to the kitchen to have breakfast. He opened the fridge and grabbed some peanut butter and pickles with chips and put it together in a sandwich and ate it not even realizing what he had just eaten.

After some light training Kai felt a little light headed and had some water, but that did nothing to help him. He felt nauseated the rest of the day too while staying in the bathroom. He was both very annoyed and very glad at the fact Cole was not at the monastery. One was because he should be here for Kai whenever he is sick he's his husband he should know these things, but at the same time glad because he hated being doted on every single second. As Kai was dry heaving Zane came by the door that Kai accidentally had left open and poked his head in. "Kai are you alright?" Zane asks concerned with his teammate and the one he considered a brother like everyone on the team. "Yeah Cole's chilli just gave me food poisoning. I knew not to eat it but he's a idiot who never listens to the dam cook books!" Kai then hurled in the toilet. "Should I call Cole?" Zane asks. "No! He should know when his husband is sick because of his stupid chilli let him figure it out on his own," Kai snaps harsher than needed and Zane was taken aback. "Kai may I do a quick scan?" Zane asks. "Scan whatever you want just do not call Cole it is only food poisoning nothing more," Kai said and Zane did a quick scan of the red ninja and gasped.

"So dramatic over everything," Kai mutters as he finally stopped dry heaving in to the toilet. "Kai I do not know how to tell you this, but it's not food poisoning," Zane said as Kai splashed cold water in his face. "Oh do not tell me I have a stomach bug," Kai groans. Zane looked really conflicted on how to go about this matter. "Kai you do having something in your stomach, but it is not a bug," Zane said. Kai looked at him with a tired look like he just really wanted to go back to bed. "What ever it is it is nothing," Kai said. "Kai I am just going to say it your one week pregnant!" Zane blurts out then covers his mouth. It took a second for the words to register in Kai's mind before his eyes went wide. "No! I know there were those berries and all, but I can not be pregnant. Your scanner nindroid thingy is broken," Kai said in full denial. "Kai I would not be saying this to you if I was not positive," Zane said seriously. Kai thought for a moment before bending down and leaning in to the back of the sink behind the pipes Nya hid her box of pregnancy tests. He was her big bro he knew everything about her. "Look I am going to take one of these and prove to you I am not one week pregnant," Kai said then pushed Zane out of the bath room. Zane waited a minute before Kai came out of the bathroom. "Okay just need to wait a minute and," Kai pauses when he saw the results. It was a positive. Kai looked at Zane pale and felt his knees buckle, but Zane caught him in time.

After a few moments of silence as Zane let the shock wear off for Kai he finally talked. "We were careful though," Kai looked up at Zane locking eyes. "We were careful!" Kai repeats as tears started going down his face. Zane was unsure how to deal with this he should be happy right? Well he did not seem happy. "It is a good thing though is it not?" Zane asks Kai who was still crying. "Zane you don't understand I'm not sure we are ready for that and we both love being ninja, but if I had a kid would that mean one of us need to retire?" Kai asks. "No it does not your parents never retired from being fighters and look at the masters they are still fighting and I am very certain they are both at least a hundred," Zane said. Kai calms down a bit. "But are we even ready for that? For this?" Kai asks. "I can not answer that, but I know Cole will be very happy to hear the news," Zane said supportively. Kai took a few deep breaths and hugged Zane. "Thank you, but please do not tell anyone especially Cole," Kai asks. "I promise, but you will need to tell him you're already a week pregnant," Zane advises. "I will when I work up the nerve," Kai said.

"Now if you excuse me I am going back to bed," Kai said feeling emotionally and physically drained unsure on how to tell Cole that they were going to have a kid.
