"Focus on what's holding you back to unlock," Garmadon said in a wise voice as Kai meditated. He was currently standing in the middle of a pond at the back of the shop as he focused on the three orbs of water moving in a circle around him. He was having trouble focusing because his mind kept wandering back to other tasks like the location of the tome. And the fact Ronin had flirted with Nya once or twice didn't help his mood. "Become the water you must go with the flow but also reverse the flow," Garmadon said.

"I am!" Kai explodes loosing focus and falling back in the water dripping wet. "Try again," Garmadon orders. "Bet mum didn't have this much trouble," Kai mutters. "Your actually progressing better than your mother did. Your not quite at her level but with time you will get there," Garmadon said. Kai sighs and starts up again closing his eyes as he summons the balls of water. Meanwhile the others were preparing for Morro's eventual attack. They were trying to set up water defences without. Jay nearly caused Cole to get a one way trip to the departed realm when a bucket of water almost fell on him. "Hey be careful not all of us are water proof," Cole scolds Jay. "Sorry," Jay shrugs sheepishly.

A bell went off. "Early warning alarm," Nya announces. "Battle stations," Zane said. They all catapulted water balloons and hit not a ghost but a very wet and angry postman. "No wonder this place is closing down," The post man grumbles giving them a envelope before walking off dripping wet. "No your closing down! I mean who uses mail anymore?" Jay replies as Nya read the letter. "No he's right unless we drum up some business we're closing down," Nya said. "Don't tell Ronin if he knows this place is worthless," Jay whispers. "I don't trust him anyway," Nya grumbles with a eye roll.

Meanwhile with Ronin he just got a ghostly message from Banshee saying if he didn't deliver the sword then he would become a ghost. Wu called everyone for a meeting but told Kai to leave him to meditation. Once all inside they found Ronin looking through the shelves. "Looking for something?" Nya asked. "Oh uh just making sure everything was in alphabetical order," Ronin said with a nervous laugh. Everyone gave him a look but went on to explain the mission. Ronin snuck off but Nya noticed and followed him while the others didn't notice. Nya saw Ronin pick up the sword but backflips over and grabs it from him. "I knew we couldn't trust you," Nya said as they engaged in a battle. Ronin knocked Nya into a chest and yelled. "RONIN HAS THE SWORD!"

Ronin ran out and the ninja tried holding him off but it was barely a fight. All they're traps back fired on them, Jay kept falling through the ground, Cole kept dodging the water, and Zane kept getting flung back and forth on the catapults. "Ha too easy," Ronin said. He ran off and they saw Rex taking off into the sky. "We need to follow him in the bounty," Cole said. "Is that the best idea?" Wu said summoning his dragon. "You have always been such a show off," Garmadon grumbles. "I'll take my samurai suit," Nya said running over to join them. "What are we waiting for? Let's go," Jay said and they took the bounty catching up with Rex only to find it empty. "It's empty," Jay said shocked. "But where's that lying no good rat?" Garmadon asks.

Meanwhile Kai was still concentrating on the water when his focus was broken by a whistling. He turned and saw Ronin in the boat with the crystal. "Hey! Give that back!" Kai demands skimming across the water to run after Ronin. The thief turned and saw Kai running after him along the River. "Face it you'll never catch me," He taunts. "But I can sink you!" Kai snaps back and paused using the water to pull hRonin's boat in. "You got to be kidding me," Ronin groans trying to keep it a float. It took a lot but Kai managed to sink the boat then make a tendril of water to wrap around Ronin's body making him drop the sword. "You don't understand! Soul archer has my soul if I give him the sword of sanctuary then I can get it back," Ronin tries to plead. "He'll never keep his end of the deal and if you give it to him your cursed either way. For a dealer you didn't look at both sides of the bargain," Kai said. "But I need to give it to Morro," Ronin pleads and Kai realized something. "You know where Morro is," he realizes. "Umm no I don't," Ronin denies. "Yeah you do how else would you give it to him?" Kai points out. He radioed in on his com link.
