Cole X Kai

Escaping Nimbus

The ninja ran around trying to avoid the giant hairy monster. They screamed and Jay tried opening the door to find it locked. "It's locked! Why would someone lock it?!" Jay exclaims only for Nimbus (they don't know it's name but I'm just going to call it that from here on out) to picked up Jay. He zapped him with electricity and threw him on the ground the others ran over to check on him as he twitched. "Okay now I know how that feels," He said twitching as the others grimaced. Nimbus roars and they scream trying to hide. Nimbus was cornering Cole and Kai yells from behind a giant stuffed bear. "Over here big guy!" It gets Nimbus's attention as Zane shook his head from behind a pillar. "Uh oh," Kai said than ran. Nimbus hugged the stuffed bear and Kai realized something. Kai looked to his feet seeing a stuffed bear and picked it up. Nimbus looks at Kai and gasps panicked. "Don't move or I'll break it," Kai threatens pulling its arm. Nimbus whimpers and makes a motion for Kai to hand it over. "Find a way out of here," Kai said keeping the monster distracted.

They spread out looking for one Cole tried picking up a toy only to go through it. "What am I doing? I'm a ghost," Cole then put his hands through the wall and smiles. Nimbus got impatient and roars as Kai dropped the bear running. Cole quickly went through the wall. "I'm such a dummy," Cole said face palming. He runs to the front of the door and Jay looked through the key hole. "Cole opened the door!" Jay screams urgently. "I'm a ghost not a lock smith," Cole argues. "I need a key," Cole adds. "Be the key Cole be the key," Jay said. "And be it quick!" Zane adds as he and Kai ran from Nimbus. "Oh right!" Cole said and became green mist.

The other three blue, white, and red ninja were running in circles away from Nimbus when Cole unlocked the door and they ran out. Cole became his normal form as they slammed the door shut. After taking a quick breath Kai put a hand on Cole's shoulder. "Cole I don't care what you say your getting better and better at being a ghost," Kai said and Cole blushes green. "Look it's Morro with Fennwick!" Zane yells pointing at Fennwick leading Morro and his ghosts to a temple. "Traitorous Fennwick never did like that snob," Jay said. "Come on before he gets the sword," Cole said. "We'll never catch up even with airjitzu," Zane said.

"Cyclondo," Jay corrects and the others groaned. "Wait idea! Kai how good are you at using your water?" Cole asked. Kai rubbed the back of his neck. "Masters say I'm a fast learner since I already knew my fire very well but it's difficult until I unlock my true potential," Kai answers. "Do you think you could use your water to propel yourself to the temple that has the sword? We can catch up with you once you get it," Cole said. "I'll try," Kai answers. He turns around and shot a stream of water that latched onto a roof top. He then jumped and it pulled him forward like a grappling hook. He landed and waved to the others before continuing on without being noticed by anyone. "Come on he's still going to need help," Cole said than he and the others followed behind.

Kai got to the temple and from the roof he heard Fennwick say. "The sanctuary is on the top floor," before walking away as Morro walked in.

Short cut

Kai used his water as a grapple hook and arrived at the top floor and went in through a window. He saw the sword but also heard footsteps. He knew even with the sword propelling himself halfway across the realm made him dizzy like when he trained with the fire sword too much or used spinjitzu to often. He wouldn't be a match not even close to Morro. Quickly Kai grabs the sword and snuck out back to the window and onto the roof as the door opened.

Morro in Lloyd's body came in and when he saw the sword gone he yelled. "WHAT!? NO!" Before blowing the wind and causing most of the windows to blow open. "How is this possible?" Morro asked out-loud and it took a lot of self control for Kai not to gloat in front of Morro. Kai looked in the swords reflection and saw Morro coming out onto the roof. Kai reacted and airjitzud up to the very top just in time. "I know your here ninja I don't know how you got here before me but I'll send you to the departed realm myself!" Morro yells in his ghostly voice. Kai covers his mouth to stop himself from making any sound at all. He looked at the sword and saw a image of Morro and his ghosts behind him. He turns just in time to see them trying to sneak up on him.

"Give us back Lloyd!" Kai demands. "No! Give me the sword!" Morro demanded instead. "No blondie equals no sword do the math or do you only have air for brains?" Kai mocks. Morro is fuming and soul archer knocks his arrow. "I think I'm just gonna bye!" Kai said then jumped off the roof. He used airjitzu to slow his fall and land on a boat. "Get him!" Morro orders.

Kai jumped from boat to boat till eventually he accidentally landed on someone and that someone was Jay who just climbed onto the bridge. "Get off me!" Jay demands as Kai got back up beads of sweat on his brow. "You got the sword!" Cole exclaims. Kai smiles but before they could get away a blast of wind knocked them all to the ground causing Kai to drop the sword. Morro picked it up and jumped on his own boat. "See you ninja!" He yelled laughing as he towed away. "We need to catch up," Zane said. A monk came by on his boat and the ninja jumped on. "Mind if we borrow your boat?" Cole asks to the confused monk.

A minute later they're racing through the clouds trying not to crash into anyone and mostly failing. "How do you drive this thing!?" Kai asked as they hit a different boat. They approached the storm eye and held on as they all went through. They started falling and all screamed. "Why are we falling?!" Jay exclaims. "We're back in Ninjago!" Zane exclaims. They crashed onto the mountain and started sledding down.

Zane yelled. "Abandon ship!" But it was too late as they crashed into a tree and the boat broke apart. Morro and the ghost yelled in victory before realizing that the ninja were using pieces of the wreckage to sled down. "Don't they ever just give up!?" Morro grumbles as Zane came next to them. "Hello have we met before?" He jokes. Kai was making faces on the other side before slamming into a tree. "That hurt," he mutters before catching up with the others. Jay was on the uncontrollable one and was screaming most of the way.

Meanwhile on the bounty the others were trying to interrogate Ghoultar. "Puffy pot stickers?" Misako asks in a sing song voice. Ghoultar drools and tries grabbing them through the bars. "Ghoultar wants Ghoultar tell everything!" He said. Just then Kai radios in.

"I hope those engines aren't cold because we're coming in hot!" "Everyone to your stations!" Garmadon said. They dropped everything including the keys to get to the brig and help the ninja not noticing they also dropped the keys.

They started up the ship and raced after the ninja. Kai explains what Morro wanted with the spinjitzu masters tome and it was disheartening to hear. The ninja all raced after as soul archer shot arrows at them. Kai considered using his powers to block them but he didn't want to risk hitting Cole by mistake. Wu jumps down on the anchor. "Need a lift?" He asks. Everyone got on the anchor but Kai didn't go with them. "I'm not leaving without that sword!" Kai said then raced ahead.

Meanwhile Ghoultar has jumped onto the boat with Morro slowing it down because of his extra weight. "You big oph! Your a ghost how are you slowing us down?" Morro asked. "Ghoultar like puffy pot stickers," he answers rubbing his full belly.

It gave Kai the chance to catch up and he used the aroeblade he bought from Ronin to knock the other ghosts off the boat as he jumped on. "Give us back our friend!" Kai demands. "No!" Morro answers back. They engaged in a battle Kai was loosing he was tired, didn't want to hurt his friend, and Morro had the sword. It wasn't long before Morro knocked Kai to the ground unarmed. "You wouldn't attack a unarmed man right?" Kai asks. "Good question yes!" Morro said about to strike. Kai braced himself only for the hit only he remembered his powers and blasted Lloyd with . Lloyd had broken through fighting Morro's control. "Kai...take...the sword," Lloyd said handing Kai the sword. "Lloyd? Fight it!" Kai urges as Lloyd collapses. "Go," Lloyd said before Morro took over again. He was dazed before getting mad.

"Just because your in my friends body just warning you watch out," Kai warns before using airjitzu to hop across the trees before Morro fell off a cliff. Kai hopped from tree to tree before using airjitzu to hop onto the bounty just in time. "We have the sword and Lloyd fought Morro he's fighting the possession we just have to help," Kai said. Cole came behind and hugged Kai around the neck. "And with the sword it should be smooth sailing," Cole said. "We just need to find the tome," Wu said. "But who here knows where the tome is?" Ronin asks.

Everyone groans. "What? you all seemed so confident," Ronin defends. "You ruin everything," Nya grumbles.
