"So we all agree no telling Kai about the giant beetle?" Cole asks as they arrived at the pyramid. "Why? Because of how much you screamed?" Nya asks teasingly. "No...maybe," Cole admits and the others laughed. They enter the tent and were met with a guy who had a hair style like Cole's and a eyepatch with a adventure style from a video game something you would expect from a explorer. He was sipping from a pop drink and not really looking interested in moving from his spot on his chair.

"Umm hi are you Clutch Powers?" Lloyd asks. "Yeah who's asking?" Clutch asked none too politely. "We were hoping we could explore the pyramid you have recently unearthed," Zane requests. "And stopping you right there," Clutch said taking another sip. "All pyramids are the same full of traps and secret passages that lead you into a snake pit of snakes that are somehow still alive after a century or two," Clutch said getting up from his chair. "So no way in Ninjago am I," Clutch began before a guy came in with a phone. "Mr. Clutch Powers sir you have a call it's from the explorers club," The boy said who seemed to be the type to fetch coffees for his boss. Clutch immediately snatched the phone and put his ear to it. After some stomping and whining like a child Clutch sighs and hung up the phone. "Okay you five got lucky. Who wants to go and explore a pyramid with dozens of life threatening traps?" Clutch asks and the ninja cheer.

They open the door to the ancient pyramid and walked in carefully. They came across a old bridge and Clutch Powers turned to them. "Now I hope you have read my book how to survive booby traps it is highly recommended," He said proudly.

Cole flash back from when Kai was still pregnant

"Hey honey what are you reading?" Cole asks Kai who was sitting on the couch munching on a pickle as he read a book. "A book by a explorer called Clutch Powers he is really odd this book has a bunch of stupid stuff, but there is nothing better to read," Kai sighs.

"Yeah totally," Cole nodded his head. Clutch looked proud of that answer then runs across the bridge. "One way to cross a bridge is fast and quick. The last one usually doesn't make it!" Clutch said over dramatic. The ninja all ran across. Nya got their first while Cole and Jay tripped on each other when Cole got back up Lloyd jumped over his head leaving him dazed for a moment before shaking it off and running ahead. Zane just picked Jay up as he ran across the bridge then set him down.

"Well that was nice," Zane said. "Yeah it was actually pretty sturdy," Cole remarks. "We got lucky, but luck runs out," Clutch said as they continue on. They walked on and came to a stair case that had a cobweb on it. Clutch examines it and took off his eye path. Jay saw and tried telling the others only to be ignored. "Okay everyone jump over the web," Clutch orders. Everyone does so jumping over except Jay who thought Clutch was just paranoid, so he stepped on the web. It made a snapping sound and suddenly there was a rumbling. "Gum Drops!" Clutch curses as the stairs turn to a slide causing them all to slide down it as they screamed. "We need to slow down!" Zane yells. "There's nothing to grab on to!" Cole yelled as they got closer to a pit with spikes.

Lloyd sent a blast and just in time destroying the spikes before they all fell into the pit. "He said step over them!" Cole scolds Jay. "I did!" Jay replies back, but then noticed the fake cob web string was still attached to his shoulder. "Jay out of all the stupid things," Cole starts before noticing everyone was looking behind him. "What?" He asks then turned his head and jumps out of his skin seeing a skeleton. "Who's that?" Nya asks. "Someone who did not stop in time," Lloyd answers. Clutch looked at the body and hummed. "A old rival, but clearly he never read my book," Clutch said proud of himself. Zane picked up a discarded book. "Actually it appears he did," Zane said and Clutch snatched it looking at the book mark. "Aha! He only got to chapter five cob web traps are in chapter eight," He said than moved on while Cole was starting to wonder if maybe it was too late to call Kai and ask more about the book.
