Part 59

So it has been a few days since Blaine proposed to Kurt and he seems so happy it makes me really happy. Blaine was sitting at the piano before glee club and Sam was lying down on it. I was leaning against the piano texting Sebastian.

(Sam) "So how does it work with gay marriage, you take his last name or does he take yours, or- or do you both hyphenate, 'cause..."

(Blaine) "Right now, I'm honestly just excited that Kurt said yes."

I look up and look at Sam putting my phone away.

(Mia) "I have always been curious about what goes on in that head of yours but I didn't expect that kind of question."

Blaine laughs slightly smiling.

(Blaine) "Hey, are you guys looking forward to prom? I fell asleep last night while Tina was texting me about her prom dress."

(Mia) "Tina and I were up until like, midnight talking. I have never seen her so happy."

(Blaine) "It's really nice that you're going with her, by the way Sam."

(Sam) "Yeah, I guess so. I don't know, I just... you know, it's my senior prom, so I kind of wish I was going with somebody I really care about."

He gets up from lying down and I put my hand on his knee and smile softy up at him.

(Sam) "Damn, I have seriously been unlucky in love."

I then turn to see Mr. Shue walk in and Blaine, Sam and I go sit down.

(Mr. Shue) "Come on, guys, we're back with the Beatles! We're leaving the mop-tops behind and moving into their experimental years. Now, the Rubber Soul album marked a turning point for the group, where they literally and figuratively let their hair down. Now, the Beatles were the biggest musical act in the world. They could have remained in their comfort zones, but instead, they risked everything to explore new musical worlds. They had something important to say, and they weren't going to let something as silly as the fear of failure get in their way."

We then heard the P.A make a screeching noise and Mr. Shue began to talk.

(Sue) (over P.A.) "Good afternoon, McKinley High. This year, the proms are being fused into one giant Brundleprom."

(Marley) "What's a Brundleprom?"

(Jake) "I don't get that reference."

(Ryder) "That's from The Fly."

(Sue) (over P.A) "And now for the moment that will crush 99% of your misguided views about your own popularity. Here are your nominees for Prom King and Queen."

I then crossed my fingers. I really want to be Prom Queen. I felt a hand on my knee and look up to see it was Sam's. He knew how much I wanted to be Prom Queen.

(Sue) (over P.A) "First, here are your nominees for Prom King: Blaine Anderson..."

Everyone in the room began to cheer for him including myself.

(Sue) (over P.A) "...Mohamed Omar, Artie Abrams..."

Everyone began to cheer again including myself.

(Sue) (over P.A) "... "Stoner" Brett Bukowski."

I then turned to Sam. How did he not get nominated.

(Sam) "Wait, I-I really didn't get nominated for king?"

(Sue) (over P.A) "And now onto the Queen.

(Mia) (whispering) "Please, please, please, please..."

(Sue) (over P.A) "Kitty Wilde..."

(Kitty) "But I'm a sophomore."
