The red eyes stared at me and growling sounds exited its throat. Deadly horns protruded from its head and its face was scrunched up in a scowl.

"Damn it!" I shouted.

"What the hell?! I didn't see anything when we fricken came in!" Cornelius screamed.

The demon scratched at the window, making an eerie sound like chalk on a chalkboard. It's claws had blood dripping from it and were sharp.

"We can't fight on our own! I'm calling Marcus!" Cornelius said.

"Go! Hurry up though!" The window was starting to crack, and soon, the demon would be able to crawl inside.

"Close!" I shouted, feeling power building up inside of me. The window shook for a second before it broke entirely. The demon crawled through and I started to back away, only to feel sharp claws in my back.

"OUCH!" I screamed.

"Explode!!" I tried my powers again, only to find the claw in my back was weakening my senses.

"CORNELIUS!" I screamed, hoping he could hear me. Footsteps thundered down the hall and Cornelius started to shout incantations. Soon, the claws in my back let go and I fell to the floor, gasping. Blood oozed down my now ruined dress.

"Shit! Titania! What the hell happened?!" Cornelius was by my side in a split second, casting a healing spell.

"I tried to shut the window cracks, but I was too late. As soon as I finished the spell, the window broke open and a demon crawled in. I didn't see the one behind me and I got stabbed with its claws."

"Shield!" Cornelius shouted, casting a protective shield around us.

"There's more....... o-outside." I gasped.

"We can't fight them alone, Titania. My friend Marcus is on his way, he should be here in less than five minutes. For now, please stay awake. I can't heal your wounds."

"Go, fight with him when he gets here, I'll be fine."

"Are you sure?"

I nodded. Cornelius sighed and wrapped a cloth around my back, covering the wounds. Shouts sounded outside.

"Cornelius! I'm here!!" A familiar voice said.

"I'll be outside, I'll send someone in for you." Cornelius told me. I nodded and attempted to smile. Cornelius ran outside and a new figure stood in front of me with furrowed brows.

"Titania?" I looked closer at the figure and gasped.

"Kayden?!"

"Goddamnit Titania! What the hell happened to you?! What did Vivian torture you with?!" Tears sprang to both of our eyes as I told him about my day of torture when Vivian took the throne.

"Oh Titania! I'm so sorry! I-I shouldn't have left....."

"Don't start with that Kayden, you had to."

Kayden told me about the prophecy about him and Vivian.

"B-but you w-wouldn't have been tortured like that if I didn't...."

"Kayden, she would've killed you."

"It doesn't matter, she nearly killed you."

"She's done worse things to me than torture me physically." I recalled when she had first started calling me a rotten piece of bitch meat. It hurt more than any pain she could ever inflict on me physically.

"But still, Titania. Odette and Cassie have been crying to me every night about how they miss you."

"I miss them too."

"Kayden? Why is Vivian the way she is?"

He sighed.

"I don't know, but when we were younger, Vivian was a very good faery, but when you were born, Vivian started to have more isolation problems and more aggression. When she was ten, she snapped."

"When she started to abuse me...."

"Yes. I really wish I could have taken you with me that night, Titania. I hated thinking Vivian could be possibly torturing you when me and the twins were running away. I hated it!"

"I survived, didn't I?"

"Yes! But you'll never be the same Titania! I know she must have tortured you badly! I'm surprised she didn't have one of her loyal asshole friends rape you!"

I gasped, tears springing to my eyes. Vivian did say she wanted to do that.

"She did torture me, but she didn't have someone rape me."

"Yeah, but how do you know she didn't when you were unconscious those times?"

"I never thought of that."

"No shit!"

"So, you've been hiding out with a dude named Marcus?" I tried to change the subject. Thankfully, Kayden went along with it.

"Yes. Marcus is one of my longtime friends. You've been hiding with Cornelius of the dark fae?"

"Yes, he saved me from eating a poisonous fruit."

"Damn it! You got lost in the forest of whispers?!"

"Ummmm I guess so?"

Cornelius and a familiar man walked into the cottage then, both bloody and bruised.

"We must leave. The palace is the only safe place now." Cornelius said.

"What about Odette and Cassie?" Kayden asked.

"I'll go get them right now." The fae who I assumed to be Marcus said.

Kayden nodded.

Two minutes later, Marcus appeared with my little sisters in tow. They squealed when they saw me.

"Nia!" They both used my nickname. They ran over and hugged me hard.

"Hello Odette. Hello Cassie." I said, smiling at them.

"Reunion later, escape now!" Marcus said.

Both Cornelius and Marcus muttered incantations for a portal. It appeared bigger than I thought possible and we all stepped in.
