My eyes bulged as Cornelius said 'us'.
"What about us?"
"We need to figure it out, Titania."
"I don't understand?"
Cornelius sighed and walked towards a nearby shed. When we walked in, it was dark and dreary and I hated it.
"Can we just be quick in here? I hate the dark!" I whined.
"That depends on you." At that very moment, Cornelius's figure morphed into someone I knew all too well. Vivian.
"V-Vivian? W-what d-do you want?" I started to back away towards the door.
"Soul drain!" Vivian shouted. My knees buckled underneath me as I collapsed. I looked up at her, fear written on my face.
"Oh, my dear sister. You didn't think I'd really let you go, did you? And of course, you're crushing on the one person you never can have! Makes me tricking you so convenient!" Vivian clapped.
"If you're going to kill me, just do it." I said, trembling.
"Oh, I'm not going to kill you. But I am going to torture you until all you can see is stars."
"Lovely." I drawled.
Vivian pulled out a knife and started to cut off my skin. I avoided any show of weakness. I couldn't let her see I was in pain, that'd only lead her on. She continued to cut off skin and create open wounds as I gritted my teeth. The pain was excruciating. I felt as if my soul was being drained of all its energy and my skin was all falling off of my body, leaving me as a living corpse.
"You really don't think I can see you gritting your teeth, Titania?" Vivian asked.
"Screw you turd!" I told her, screaming.
I may of felt weak, but I felt a small amount of energy burst up from deep inside of me. My only hope was to use that energy to cast a spell at Vivian.
"Fire ward." I whispered, making Vivian laugh.
"Oh, Titania. So naive! You can't cast a spell with my soul draining powers!"
Vivian was wrong though, as flames started to surround me and she had no choice but to back away.
"What the hell?! This shouldn't be happening!"
"Face it, Vivian! I'm more powerful than you are!" I screamed at her, making the fire wall dance higher and higher.
Vivian eyed me fearfully for a split second before she disappeared in a whirl of blue light. I lowered the fire wall slightly, just to be safe. For all I knew, Vivian could be hiding in thin air. When I saw she wasn't coming back, I lowered the fire wall and sagged against the wall.
"Damn." I said, feeling the intense pain overwhelm all of my senses. I had gigantic open wounds on my shoulders where blood was flowing freely down my back and arms. I could already feel an immense amount of blood loss in that specific area. I shut my eyes, hoping to dull the pain if I fall asleep, but a knock on the door stopped my plans instantly.
"Titania? Titania! TITANIA!" I heard Cornelius shout. At least, I hope it was Cornelius this time.
"I'm here." I said weakly.
"I'm coming in!" He shouted, and I scrambled away from the door. The door burst open and Cornelius's face came into my blurry sight. His black hair was messy and his eyes were swollen. He looked me up and down until he saw my arms. He rushed over and started to examine the wounds.
"Titania! What the hell happened?!"
"Vivian." That one word seemed to be all he needed, as he lifted me up and gently held me as he walked out of the shed. Mirella stood at the steps to her house, her face scrunched up and her eyes concerned. I tried to wave to her, but my arms were completely limp.
