The next few weeks went by easily for me. I befriended a few of the dark faery court ladies and even got to bond with Wisteria. The life in the dark faery palace was very accommodating, and I found that most of the dark fae are nothing like what I first thought. They were kind, unlike my own sister. Vivian continued to haunt my thoughts every now and then, but I found I was moving on from the past a lot quicker than I thought. Kayden was surprised at how fast I was moving on, especially.

"How are you moving on this quickly, Titania? Vivian tortured you!"

I shrugged.

"I don't know. I guess my belief that the future could be better surpasses my pain?" In all truth, I really didn't know why I was moving on so quickly. It's only been two weeks since we arrived at the dark faery palace. Which also means it's only been two weeks and four days since my beating. Vivian beat me to a bloody pulp, and I still felt the pain from my open wounds. But, I ignored it. I couldn't show weaknesses.

"Titania? Titania?!" Kayden shook me out of my daze.

"What?" I looked him in the eyes. He frowned.

"Why do you seem so unfocused lately? You've been doing better but you've been in so many trance like states. I'm worried."

"I'll be fine." I shrugged his concern off.

"I doubt it, Titania. There is so much that happened to you, you'll forever be scarred."

"A scar only shows strength." I reminded Kayden what he told me when I was younger. I used to be terrified of scars, but Kayden proved to me they were a show of strength and bravery.

"But it also shows someone has been through so much, Titania. And you have been. You've been abused!"

I sighed, shaking off his concern and saying it more firmly.

"I'm fine!"

Kayden still didn't look convinced.

"Good morning!" Cornelius's voice rang through the halls, causing both me and Kayden to look up. It's been quite awkward between me and Cornelius after our kiss, but we've still managed to stay close. Valla hasn't bothered Cornelius since, so I'm glad that has happened. Valla seemed like a bitch. She sent me disgusted glares and so did Violet and Isla. I hated spoiled bitchy princesses. They disgusted me. Violet, Valla, and Isla all seemed like they fit into the bitchy snob category.

"So, how have things been?" Cornelius asked me.

"Fine, I suppose." I answered honestly. I didn't feel anything was wrong, but I still felt traumatized after the vision me and the seer Mirella shared. I saw and felt my own death. Cornelius looked at Kayden, who shook his head. I guess he didn't believe me either.

"I do hope the dark fae have been treating you with the utmost respect." Cornelius said to Kayden, who smiled.

"They have been, thank you. We are very grateful you have provided us shelter. Odette and Cassie are very happy being able to play with other six year olds."

"That's wonderful!" Cornelius clapped.

Wisteria strolled in, smiling her usual radiant smile.

"Good morning!" She chirps.

"Morning." I mumbled.

"Good morning!" Kayden and Cornelius said happily. Wisteria smiled again before she sat down and proceeded to eat her food.

I laid down in my bed, remembering the kiss me and Cornelius shared. It was so full of passion.... did he have feelings for me too? He tasted so good, I missed that everyday. A knock sounded at my door.

"Come in!" I called. Cornelius's handsome face entered my sight and I gasped. His jet black hair was neatly brushed and his eyes held so much passion in them. He sat down on the chair next to my bed after he shut the door.

"Something's been bothering you." He simply stated.

"Whatever do you mean?" I played dumb. I really didn't want to tell him how hurt I was about that kiss, but I knew I'd eventually have to tell him.

"You know what I mean." Cornelius's voice dropped to a dangerously low tone and his gaze was intense. I looked away.

"Why did you kiss me?" I asked him after a minute of uncomfortable silence. He looked taken aback for a moment.

"So many reasons, Titania. Yes, I wanted to get rid of Valla. But...... I really like you.........."

I was really taken aback by that.

"You w-what?" I asked, wanting to make sure I heard it right.

"I really like you, Titania. I want us to be more than friends."

"Y-you do?" I stuttered. He smiled.

"I really do. Now, can I kiss you?"

"Y-yes."

He got up and walked towards my bed. The bed dropped when he sat down and he pulled me onto his lap. His lips then crashed onto mine and all I could think about was him. He invaded all my senses, leaving me defenseless as I succumbed to the wonderful taste of him. He grabbed fistfuls of my hair as he moaned, pulling me closer.

"Titania." He called out my name.

"Cornelius." I whispered his name.

He pulled his lips away from mine, making me protest. He shushed me.

"There will be more where that came from."

My eyes burst open. I was laying with my head in a bowl of fruits. I didn't even realize I had fallen asleep. As I turned around and blinked, the sight before me had me itching to smack someone in their eyeballs. Violet and Cornelius were kissing passionately right in front of me.

"Cornelius?"

He ignored me.

"Cornelius?!"

He ignored me yet again.

"CORNELIUS!?"

He broke away from Violet and stared at me. A bored expression was on his face.

"What do you want Titania? I'm trying to make out with Vi."

What the hell?!

I looked Cornelius in the eye and noticed his pupils were dilated and had flecks of gold in them.
