My heart ached at the thought of what Vivian might be doing to Titania, but I couldn't do anything about it. Odette and Cassie clung to me as I led them through the forests. Marcus walked in front of us, clearly knowing this path. I begged him to let me take Titania too, but he said that Vivian would be too suspicious then. If I didn't leave when I did, Vivian would have killed me and the twins. My own sister. Shaking my head, I looked down at my youngest sisters.
"How are you two doing?" I asked them.
"I wanna go home!" Odette cried. Not knowing what else to do, I squeezed her hand and walked forth. I wanted to go home too, but Vivian would kill me immediately. She probably would kill Odette and Cassie too. I couldn't let that happen, but I still worried for Titania. I still remember how she looked when Vivian started to beat her up when she was only six and Vivian was ten. The pain etched on her face haunted me to this very day.
"Will Titania be ok, Marcus?" I asked my long time friend.
"She will be scarred from this event, but from what my seer told me, she should live."
I released a breath I didn't know I was holding at that statement. I knew that if Marcus said that his seer saw Titania would live, she would. It still didn't make me feel much better though. Titania would forever be scarred, which most likely means that she was getting the beating of a lifetime. I just wished there was something more I could do for my sister.
"Why does Vivian hurt Titania?" Odette asked me.
"I don't know, but Vivian hates Titania for some reason and believe me, if I could've, I would have taken Titania away long ago."
"I don't like Titania being alone with her." Cassie whined.
"I know, I don't either, but it's what has to be done." I tried to reassure them, but my attempts were feeble.
"I want Titania!" Odette started to cry again.
"Met too!" Cassie joined in.
"Can we stop for a few minutes?" I called up to Marcus, who nodded. I found a nearby rock and pulled my younger sisters along with me. I sat down and gestured for them to sit beside me.
"I know this is sudden and this is hard, but Titania will live. Soon, she will be with us, but for now, we must get to our safe space. Vivian will otherwise find us and we will be in even more danger. Take a few minutes, but then we must keep going."
Odette and Cassie snuggled up to my side and sobbed. I had hoped this prophecy was a fluke, but it seemed it was true. Years ago, when I was fifteen, I went to a seer who goes by the name Delilah. She had told me of a prophecy where two twins were born of opposite goals in life, one destruction, and one for goodness. She had said that they were the only ones who could save the world from the other. The twins were me and Vivian. I was able to deny the prophecy for a year before I saw Vivian beating Titania up. Then, I knew the prophecy was real, and that Vivian needed to be killed.
"We must carry on, Isla is waiting." Marcus's voice brought me out of my thoughts.
"Come along, girls, we still have quite a ways to go." I told my sisters. They nodded and got up, each nursing red swollen eyes and pouting lips. I knew they wanted to go back for Titania, but we couldn't.

1 day later
We walked through the forests for another day before arriving at our destination. Marcus lived in a secluded part of the forest and had wards where only those he permitted could enter, and if they tried to enter without permission, they'd be burned to cinders. Knowing Vivian though, if she knew where I was, she could just dissolve the wards and kill me, which is why Marcus had decided we could only spend a few days at each location. Killing me would mean zero hope for the rest of eternity as Vivian would destroy everything that is good. Marcus's cottage was a very small place, but it'd do for our goal, keeping me and my sisters alive.
