Lava and smoke flew out of the crater and with it, a beautiful woman came out. Her dark black hair was tied in a classical style and her tanned skin contrasted with her gold eyes. This was Bella, the goddess of hell.

"Oh, look who we have here! Princess Titania! Stealing the flowers from my volcano!" Bella said, cackling.

"Not stealing! I need it for a friend." I said honestly.

"Do tell me more." Bella's eyes were hard as she eyed me, her lips pulling up in an evil smirk.

"My friend was put under an illegal spell and this flower," I pointed to the black nightshade, "is the only thing that will help him."

"Hmmm, interesting." Bella said.

Where Bella stood, debris fell out of the crater and fire engulfed her.

"Go, before I change my mind." Bella said, surprising me.

I didn't hesitate. I ran down the mountain.

"Kayden?! Kayden?" I called for my brother, who I noticed was sitting by one of the burning trees.

"Please no." I whispered.

I ran over to Kayden, who had sweat dripping down his forehead. His eyes were barely staying open as he looked at me.

"Titania." He said peacefully, as if he knew he was dying.

"No! You are not dying on my watch, Kayden!" I screamed at him.

He looked at me sadly. Then, he shut his eyes.

"NOOOOOOO!" I cried.

I fell on my knees, screaming at the world for taking him away.

"He's still alive." A voice said from behind me.

I turned around to find Olosi, the goddess of life. Her beautiful blonde hair was curly and fell down her shoulders all the way to her lower back. Her purple eyes were thoughtful as she looked at me. Her skin was a soft olive color.

"H-he is?" I didn't see him breathing.

"Khimos has not taken your brother from you yet." Olosi said.

Khimos was the god of death. He was ruthless and destroyed so much in his existence.

"How do we save him?"

"Bella has the flower, but she will need a sacrifice."

"A s-sacrifice?"

"Yes."

"What kind of sacrifice?"

Olosi smiled, looking at me.

"That's not my place to tell you. She's waiting for you."

I gulped as I watched Olosi disappear.

I looked at Kayden one more time before running up the mountain. Bella was waiting with a golden flower in her hand.

"Is this what you desire?" She asked me.

I looked at the flower and felt drawn to it. It had a healing aura that felt like it could save Kayden.

"Yes."

"What are you willing to give me, Princess?"

I swallowed as I thought about it. I knew only little about Bella. She was a power hungry goddess and desired riches.

"What do you desire?" I asked her.

"Many things, but you only have one thing to offer."

"And what would that be?"

Bella's hungry gaze dropped to my dress, where a diamond rested.

"A diamond?" I asked her, not quite understanding.

"Yes, a diamond. But not just any diamond. That's the diamond of Katzia, the past goddess of heaven. Give it to me, and I will give you the laceflower."

I took the diamond off my dress and handed it to the goddess, who grabbed it from my hands greedily. She threw the laceflower to me and smiled, disappearing into the crater. Without a second thought, I ran down the mountain again to find Kayden looking worse than before. His eyes were still closed, but he was paler.

"Eat this!" I stuffed the laceflower in his mouth.

His body began to glow a yellow and then faded, but I noticed his breathing was now normal.
