Sev- I... I just want to back heh. This place is just.. there is no telling time, I can't feel my body, I'm tired from mind linking, I.. I don't know if I can buy you guys anymore time..
Me- no Sev. You can do it. Just keep pushing through we are going to get you. I promise I swear we are going to get you and you'll be back home. We will bring you home. You'll be with us and you'll do great in school. We'll all have fun. Sev don't give up please
Sev- I'm so tired, Mike... I want to come back, I do but... it's gonna take energy and I don't have that energy. I need to.. to sleep
I see her looking like she's falling asleep. She almost falls but I catch her
Me- Sev? Sev?! Come on only a little more time! Sev?!
We fall onto the floor and I see her eyes close but I see a smile.
Sev- Mike?
She manages to say as tears fall down my face. Her voice is low
Me- yes Sev? Just stay with me cmon
I hold her hand and kiss it. I look at her with a little smile trying to keep her happy and have hope.
Sev- don't leave each other. Stay together because you won't be able to get me back if you guys are not together and you guys need to... stay friends. Don't get mad at them. They will help.. I'll miss you Mike
Me- no no! Don't say that! Cmon Sev don't leave me! Don't leave me!!
I yell as I see her smile fade and her eyes rest. I look at her motionless body in my arms as we are on the floor. I start crying. I lean my head hanging over her body.
Me- Sev?... Sev?
I try saying to wake her back up. I close my eyes and I open them back up. I see the light out of my window and notice I'm back in my room, on my bed. I start crying into my pillow as I face down onto my bed making my stomach on the bed. I hear a knock on my door.
Me- go away...
I say still crying. I hear footsteps walking towards me. Did they not hear when I said Go Away?
Nancy- Mike?
I hear it's Nancy so I turn over from my pillow facing the ceiling.
Nancy- what's wrong? What happened?
Me-.....
She sits on my bed with me
Nancy- cmon Mike. You can tell me anything
She is my sister and was there for me sometimes but as much as she annoys me and we don't like each other, she can still care. I sit up and look at her. Her face looks so concerned
Nancy- What happened?
Me-... Sev... she...
I say choking my words..
Nancy- she? What happened to her?
Me- she doesn't have energy to keep going.. she fell asleep in my arms but I don't know if she... if she
I feel myself crying again. She comes closer to me and she.. hugs me? When was the last time we even hugged because of something that is upsetting us? I don't hug back because I am in shock since we mostly never hug but I did after awhile. She pulls away from the hug and holds my shoulders.
Nancy- we're gonna get her. I'll help with you guys as well and we should get as much help as we can. We don't know if those monsters will come back so..
Me- Nancy? Can I ask something?
I say sniffing because my nose starts to get runny and wipe my tears.
Nancy- yeah, anything
I need to tell her how I feel about Sev. She knows about this stuff so hopefully she'll know and tell me more about it. I look down onto my bed not looking into Nancy's eyes because I might cry more again
Me- I've never felt this way about anyone, not even with El. Yeah we kissed, we were together and I did wait for her and never gave up but I didn't know what else to do. I don't know how to actually love someone. I don't know how to react when a big news will happen... maybe I don't know how to Love
Nancy- Mike... love is such a strong thing. It's one of the hardest things to ever do with or towards someone. Can I ask you a few questions about how you feel?
Me-... sure
Nancy- do you feel safe or have the need to protect her?
Me- yes I should've protected her..
Nancy- do you think you can't live without her?
Me- you saw how mad I was. The morning after she left, I stood up all night, writing down how she left and where she could be. I came up with nothing. You can ask Lucas, Dustin, Will or El. They all saw me.. when El left I knew she was gonna come back and even though I kind of stopped talking about it and only looked for her a little while. I quit after I knew she was somewhere else. Maybe happier without us all here. But with Sev... I don't... I don't know if we can close the gate again without destroying them. They will need so much energy to do that. I don't know if she's... even alive anymore. She dropped and she wasn't moving.. Nancy, I've gone crazy cause she disappeared. I just want her here. Christmas is next week.. I wanted all of us to spend it with her. She'll learn and experience the holidays, more people, and just everything we all know. I know she's a nice, sweet, caring, funny, loving, sassy, weird person and just be herself with all of us because I know she'll be that way.. she just never got the time, education, or anything. She was stuck there her whole life....
Nancy- ok.. you love her. You really do I can tell. You're better with her. She makes you a better person and be you. But you also know that she's gonna have to get adopted, move out, be with her new family and we won't get to see her for awhile so she can get used to all of it.
Me- yeah... I just want to spend as much time with her before she has to go away.. for awhile
Nancy- alright, we are going to try and get her after school, ok? We are all gonna be there. We are gonna stay together.. just make it at least through today, can you do that for me? Please?
I notice my parents have been in the hospital for about 5days by now.. I can't go all crazy on her now.
Me- yeah...
Nancy- ok now get ready for school. Big day today
Nancy stands up off my bed. And walks out of my room smiling. Sev, we are coming. Just stay awake.. I get up off from my bed and start changing for school. After I am done changing, I go downstairs and head outside to get onto my bike. I ride down to school and see The Party already there.
Me- hey
El- Will we gotta go
Will- oh right for the project
Me- project? Oh, for what class?
They both look at each other
El- art class
Me- oh cool
Will- we should go cmon
They grab each other's hands and run inside the school. What was that about?
Lucas- seems like another couple in this party haha! All we need is Dustin to get someone soon
He points to Dustin chuckling
Me- what do you mean?
Dustin- well I'm the only one here without a girlfriend or crush in this party
Me- I don't have a girlfriend
Lucas- dude! Sev might as well be your girlfriend. You guys were always close. Well besides El but El doesn't hang out next to Sev anymore because she's been hanging out with Will
Me- well.. Sev is my friend
I can feel my face turn into a dark shade of red and my hands, legs, and face start to sweat
Lucas- dude, friends don't make out
Dustin's face seems shocked. Oh no I haven't told Dustin about that. Heh heh oh great now he's gotta know now
Dustin- YOU GUYS MADE OUT?! How many times?!
Me- uhhh. Dustin keep it down, shut up! But yes we did
I look around in case anyone heard. Dustin just HAD to have a big mouth, did he?
Dustin- how many times?!
Me- two?
Dustin- TWO?!
Me- actually... three?
Lucas&Dustin- THREE TIMES?!
Me- yeah..
Dustin- well Mike is getting girls huh?
Me- dude no stop. Can we not talk about this?
Lucas- oh right. yeah we'll stop
Dustin- ONTO CLASS!
He points his finger to the air. We all walk into school after putting our bikes on the racks. We go to our classes. I am so anxious to get Sev back. I just really hope she just fainted from seeing me because if she sleeps or... something I don't wanna think about then we might not be able to wake her up and bring her back. After school, we all peddle so fast to my house. We drop our bikes onto the ground and I open the door to my house
