Will's POV
I am still waiting with my mom patrolling the back and right side of the lab. The sky is already dark so it's of course night time. I turn to my mom
Me- mom?
She looks at me
Joyce- yeah sweetie?
Me- what do you think about Sev?
Joyce- oh! She's sweet and nice. Why?
Me- I don't know.. before you seemed like El was your daughter and now Sev...
Joyce- well ya know I've always had you and Jonathan so just I saw El and Sev as your sisters
Me- What?! El, as my sister? I'm fine with Sev I guess but El is my best friend
Joyce- ok ok. Getting too aggressive or something? What, she's like your girlfriend or something?
Me-...no she's just one of my best friends
Joyce- can I ask something?
Me- sure
Joyce- how well do you even know Sev?
Me- I know she has powers and was in the system way longer than El but nothing else, why?
Joyce- you two haven't like get to know each other?
Me- no? Why though? She's mostly with at Mike's house so she knows Mike, Nancy and she's been knew El. Lucas not so much but the first night she was at Dustin's house. But no Sev and I haven't just talked
Joyce- you should heh she's a sweet girl. She's gonna be hanging out at our house for homeschooling
Me- ok? And while she's home I'll be at real school, mom.
Why does she want me to hang out with Sev? She's just another girl just like every other girl. She only has an advantage with her cool powers. She is going somewhere similar like me but I think she has a less chance of making it..
Joyce- Will? You've never really have this tone unless something's wrong
Me- nothing
Joyce- heheh I know when things are bothering  you. I'm your mother it's like my superpower
Me- it doesn't matter.
Joyce- aw cmon Will you can tell me
Me- I said drop it!
I yell. She has a shocked face because I don't normally yell at her unless something hurts or something. My flashlight turns off
Me- huh?
I try hitting it a couple of times in case it was just a simple fix but it wasn't working.
Joyce-... let's go to Jonathan and Nancy the other way..
She starts walking to turn the corner to find my brother and Nancy. I rush up to get next to her side. She had a blank expression and I look down
Me- sorry mom. I didn't mean to yell
Joyce- it's fine. You're not a baby. Babies don't yell.. they whine and cry. Just like you did before
Me- I'm still a baby heh. I still go to the kiddies section at the arcade while the rest of the party is at the other side. But I like it. El comes with me all the time though so at least I have company
Joyce- you don't need to anymore. You're old enough to play those games and other things. I should've just stopped babying you I guess ha
Me- it's fine mom
We continue to walk over to Jonathan and Nancy. As soon as we see each other in the distance, I feel the ground starting to shake like an earthquake. I look down to see if it was ACTUALLY shaking. I look back up at my mom, Jonathan and Nancy. We all look at each other with wide eyes.
Me- mom let's go over to them quick
Joyce- yeah!
My mom and I both run towards Jonathan and Nancy as they run to us as well. We all got to each other and hug. As soon as we hug, a loud noise coming from the lab. We all look up, still holding each other. We all see a huge bright like from every window and opening from the lab. I soon see every window of the lab blows into shatters of glass. They all cover me from the falling glass and "explosion". As soon as everything went more silent, we all turned to the lab.
Nancy- Mike!
Joyce- We gotta get them!
We all run to the back and into the lab from the back exit door. We run to the stairs to go to the next floor to find Dustin and Steve because they both covering the third and fourth floor. We knew Lucas and Max were with Mike and El because we heard them in the walkies before the battery died. Yeah I know right. Just great. As soon as we reached the third floor, we see Dustin and Steve on the floor. My mom and I run to Dustin while Nancy and Jonathan runs to Steve. Once they both wake up, Dustin was holding his head from pain as Steve held his stomach from his pain.
Me- we gotta get the rest of them. They're in the same room as before
Nancy- let's go
Steve and Dustin stand up, resisting the pain, and following us. We all run up to the last floor, to the room Mike and El should be in. Steve bursts down the door with Jonathan's help. I see all of their bodies on the floor and blood on them. Nancy goes kneeling down to Mike and puts his head on her lap. She holds his arm and neck while rocking back and forth.
Joyce- they'll be fine we just need to get them to my house quick
Jonathan- I'll carry Max
Steve- I got Lucas
Nancy- I got Mike
She says as she sobs
Joyce- and I'll get El
Me- where's Sev?
I look around the room noticing Sev isn't here in the room. Or here at all
Dustin- ...Mike is gonna be torn

Why was Will getting defensive when Joyce was talking to him?🤔
