She finds a helper

Sev's POV (still)
I have been walking around the streets for about a week now since I've left the lab. People stare at me. Is it because I look sick or something? It's already night time. I hear foot steps behind me, I start speeding up as I still hear the steps rush as well. I start running to get away from what's following me. I can't go back. I look over to my right and see a store with red letters that says C-V-S. I look behind me and see a tall figure but just a shadow from the light pole they're under. I lift up my hand and use my powers to make the person fly backwards. After the person hits the grown and groans, I run into this C-V-S building. I run through the doors and once I found a corner, I sit down and cover my face. I soon hear footsteps coming my way
???- um sweetie, are you alright?
I look up to see a little tanned skin, medium sized lady with light brown hair a little below her shoulders. Wearing a red skirt down to her knees and a white buttoned shirt. I looked at her face, seeing she has really nice light blue eyes. I stay quiet from her question
???- I saw you run in here.. running from someone?
She looks towards the doors and I see her breathing hitched
???- well I'm Melanie.. what's your name?
I look down
Melanie- I get it. You don't know me so I'm a stranger to you heh... well don't worry I'm not gonna hurt you
That's what papa used to say... I look into her eyes and somehow I feel she's nice. Hm..
Me- Savannah..
Melanie- hm?
Me- my name.. Savannah
Melanie- nice to meet you, Savannah. Where are your parents, sweetie?
Dead.. but I didn't want to scare her
Me- just me
I look down start playing with my fingers. The fingers Mike used to hold..
Melanie- oh. Do you want to stay with me, sweetie? I'll help you if you want
She can help? Maybe she can teach me
Me- yes. Help me please. I need to learn
Melanie- learn what, sweetie?
Me- everything.. i don't know much
Melanie- cmon. Let me close the shop and I'll take you home with me, alright?
Home? Can I trust her?
Me- I will. Only if you do not call bad people to get me
She lets out a small breath
Melanie- alright. Deal
She walks away and signals me to follow her. I get up and walk with her as we walk out the doors and she closes the door. After she closes and locks the door, she starts heading to a light blue car as they call it. She opens the right side front door
Melanie- you can sit up here
I hesitantly go in the car and sit down. She closes the door gently and walks to the left side to sit the opposite from me. She closes her door once she sits down
Melanie- seat belt
I look at her confusingly. Her face softens
Melanie- let me help
She reaches over to get a strap and pulls it over my small body until I hear a click noise. She straps herself as well
Me- what's this for?
Melanie- you don't know?
I just stare at her
Melanie- well it protects you from falling out of the car in case another car hits ours
Me- so it's dangerous to be in car?
Melanie- you just gotta be real careful
She puts something into the car and the car starts. I remember being in a car with Jonathan, Nancy and Will. How I was fascinated by it. The car starts moving and passing other cars every once in awhile. She would stop it every time a light went red but started going again on green light. Is that a thing? After awhile, she pulls up to a nice yellow house.
(House above but it's nighttime)
She gets out and closes her door before opening the door for me to get out. I get out of the car as she closed the door after. I followed her as she walked to the house. She takes out keys and opened the door
Melanie- it's alright
She said as she noticed I'm hesitant. I walk into the house and almost immediately feel warm. She walks into the house and locks the door after closing it
Melanie- just letting you know I'm not alone here. My husband is asleep already I'm sure so don't worry. He won't hurt you either
She says as she closes the door and turn on a light that makes most of the house lights turn on. Nice house. I nod at her
Melanie- um I'm going to set up a room for you that we have extra as well as with clothes after you shower
Shower.. I remember shower. Nancy helped me. Mike says showering is good. I nod at Melanie
Melanie- here let me get you a snack for now while I get things ready
She walks into the "kitchen". I follow her as I see her open little doors and pulls out some foods
Melanie- you can have which ever you want
Me- what are these?
I look down at the foods and look back up at her. She gives me a small smile
Melanie- these are Oreos cookies
She points to a blue little box thing with spelling of black and white "cookies"
Melanie- goldfish
She points to to little bag with yellow/orange looking fishes
Melanie- and these are Cheerios
She points to a box with a picture with circles with a hole in the middle. Maybe she has pancakes like the one Nancy made
Me- you have pancakes?
Melanie- how about I'll make some in the morning but you can eat Cheerios with milk for now, deal?
I nod. She gets a round thing and puts the "Cheerios" in there and puts the box away. She goes to a... what is that?
Me- what's that?
She turns back and points to the white box thing and then continues to do what she's doing
Melanie- this is a fridge.. sweetie, where did you come from?
Me- I went away from home
I looked down
Melanie- yeah I wondered that but are you around from here?
Me- I'm far away..
Melanie- so you don't know?
I shake my head no
Melanie- well did you go to school?
I shake my head once again
Melanie- well here
She hands me the thing with "Cheerios" and "milk" with a metal thing. I think she can tell I'm confused as what's in front of me
Melanie- this is a bowl to have the cereal in. I'll get everything ready for you
She walks away down a hall away from me. I hold up the metal thing and eat what she gave me. It's sweet and cold

So Sev finally eats cheerioes😂 I personally don't even eat cereal anymore but I know Cheerios were my favorite hehe.
I was going to have Meredith and Derek from Grey's anatomy because I think they deserved more time together🥺 but I didn't think they would fit in the 80's if that makes sense? Heh but yeah that was definitely a option lol
