The New Gate

I help Sev stand up on her feet. I hold her hand and we both close our eyes. We both know what to do and how it has to be done correctly. I concentrate on levitating myself and I know Sev is doing the same. I start to feel my feet come off the ground. I use my power to kind of teleport to wherever in front of the gate was. I open my eyes and see a smaller than expected orange gate. Last time it was like red. I see the whole gate opening slowly. It's not fully opened so it will be easier to close it because it's not as big as the last one. The air around us is moving very slowly but the gravity is making everything float
Sev- we have to just close it with something strong
Me- what about some wax? To seal it?
Sev- no it wouldn't keep it stable for too long
Me- what about we just use our powers to force the gate to close?
Sev- wait! Do you remember that potion that they were making in the labs, before the place got destroyed?
Me- that green glowy liquid in the glass bottle?
Sev- yeah! Do you think it's still there?!
Me- I'll tell Mike to tell the Max and Lucas so check the labs in the basement
Sev- alright I'll try to stop this thing from the inside
Me- the inside?!
Sev- I'll keep it at the same size so it won't grow anymore bigger
I hesitated but agreed
Me- fine
I close my eyes and I put myself in the room him and I were in. I open my eyes to see him sitting still. But as he sees me, he rushes to stand up and walks to me
Mike- everything alright?
Me- I need you to walky Lucas and Max to check the basement for a green glowing potion. Something the people in the lab were making to seal the gate
Mike- alright
He walks to the table, where the walky was, and picks it up. He put up the antenna and spoke
Mike- Lucas! Max! Come in. Over.
The walky made a beep sound
Lucas- yeah? We're here. Over
I can tell it was Lucas who answered
Mike- check the basement for a green glowy potion
I can hear Max in the back say
Max- green glowy potion?
Lucas- what for?
Mike- no questions! JUST DO IT SO WE CAN CLOSE THIS DAMN GATE!
Lucas- alright alright! We're on it
Mike- then meet El and I in the room we are in
Lucas- ok!
Mike puts down the walky and walks up to me. Probably wondering of questions to what's happening with the gate
Mike- so? What's happening?
..As I thought
Me- the gate is only small
Mike- great!
Me- but it's growing. And Sev is making sure it isn't growing anymore bigger right now so we need the potion because we wanna see if it works to seal the gate because the people here before, were making it especially to close it
Mike- DAMN IT!
He yells as he walks over back to the table, slams his hands in the table and hangs his head down
Me- she's fine. Mike?
He walks up to me with a mad face
Mike- what? What?! What El? What else is there?
Me- Please calm down. She needs you all to calm down and just close this damn gate for the last damn time, alright? She needs us to keep our heads up and all we can do is be patient to wait back for her.
I say as I raise my voice a little
Mike- I have no patience and everyone knows that, El
Me- I know. But you have to for Sev. She would want you to take your time and do whatever we were doing before we met her..
Why was those words feel like such a lie and gave me pain as I said it
Mike- what she would want? What SHE would WANT? What she wants is to be here with us. She wants to be home and live her fucking life. She's not normal but she can live her life as what she wants. She's gonna of course have to get adopted and have her own life, but we'll all be here for and with her for all of it... Especially you and Max cause you're both girls and.. she needs to learn a lot about a lot of things
Me- yes I understand Mike but she needs what's best. What's best for her right now is for you to calm down and to rest. She's so drained she literally was dropped on the floor. You're so lucky we got her in time because she was slowly going away. So if you want her to live then let her rest. After this she's gonna be drained and lose her energy. Our energies sadly takes what feels like forever to gain back. But she will, and when she does, she'll come right back with us
His eyes turned sad
Mike- she really lost her energy
Me- she couldn't even move or stand when I got to her..
Mike- can she stand now? Or did you just leave her there and she maybe fell
Me- shit!
