Middle School's Coming To An End

Me- can we be friends?
   They all just stare at me which concerns me because I thought we were having a good time
Grace- I mean I hope we could, that's up to you
Jesse- yea, we can be. If that's alright with you
Me- yeah of course, I just wanted to know cause.. I haven't had friends in a while so just thank you
Kai- for what?
   She chuckles
Me- for coming up to me today, I wouldn't have on my own because of how I don't really trust people much but this is the most I've had fun in such a long time
Natalia- awww, you're so welcome
Kai- yeah we can do this whenever we want to so
Jesse- just let us know the next hang out
   I look at all of them and smile. They come at me and drag me down into the bottoms of the skate ramp. Jesse, Natalia and I sit on the side watching the other two girls
Natalia- I think I speak for all of us girls that we're glad we met you. A lot has happened to us that we just had to know you I guess
Me- thanks.. oh it's almost time for Melanie to get me. I'll see you girls at school tomorrow, ok?
Jesse- yea, see you tomorrow
Natalia- byeee
   The girls all wave away at me while I start walking to where Melanie dropped me off. Once I see her car, I head inside.
END OF FLASHBACK
Natalia- hey Savannah, we were wondering if we could come over to hang out tomorrow?
Me- I'm sure Mel and Olly won't mind, but I'll still ask
Kai- thanks, we don't like being home ya know?
   They told me that their parents are bad to them and that's why they just go to the park anytime they want, to get away from that which I get since I've done that multiple times from the lab..
Me- yeah I get it
Natalia- so can we talk about how our English teacher wants us to write a 3page essay?!
  We all look at her like she was a ghost
Jesse- now that's some bs
Kai- definitelyyy, we are just almost done our 8th grade year before high school
Me- they should give us a break at this time at least
Grace- is it That bad?
   See grace is secretly the smartest out of all of us but she's the chill and doesn't care if she got in trouble while the others try to fight back to not get consequences. They are all badasses but Jesse will get into a fight if someone made them mad, everyone here is capable to fight like that except for Natalia cause she can only play fights about it. Kai can definitely fight if someone misjudged her. She likes girls which people don't really accept but our group does because we are all friends, care and support her with anything unless when she's really wrong. But anyway we just all stare at grace until we all start laughing
Kai- isn't that bad? You're crazy Grace
Grace- a little
  She says while giggling. I continue eating the chocolate pudding from my tray since I already ate the hamburger
Jesse- you only just got pudding?
  She notices nothing else on my tray
Me- oh no, I already ate the burger since I sat down
Natalia- girl, you inhaled that
Kai- let a girl be hungry, damn
  She lets out one laugh, just a Ha
Grace- at least we have one more month of school
  Only a month? Will I see them during the summer?
Me- will we still be friends in the summer?
  They all quiet down from their conversations and looks at me seriously
Kai- I mean of course, I would hope so right?
Me- maybe I can ask for the first week of summer, you could all sleep over possibly if y'all want?
  They all form big smiles, but me still waiting for their answers. They all looked at each other and grace nodded
Grace- that would be so fun! Oh my god, I can't waitt
Jenna- wait so how long until then?
Me- I would have to ask but isn't school over in like 3more weeks?
Natalia- we'll all be graduating for next year to be freshmanssss
Jesse- woow
  She looks down and smile
Grace- well the bell is about to ring but Savannah we would love to sleep over if your Melanie and Oliver say so
Me- great, I'll definitely ask and let you all know as soon as they tell me
Jesse- good
  The bell rings and since Kai and I have the same algebra class, we say bye to everyone until we see them after schoolAs we're walking to our next class, I can feel her look at me
Me- ok Kai, what's on your mind?
  I look up to her since she's 1 1/2in taller than me
Kai- it's just school is ending and then we'll be in high school.. i know that I'm happy we did meet you
Me- aw really? Thanks, Kai
Kai- yeah and I think this summer is gonna change so much
Me- how so?
Kai- i don't know, it's probably just a silly feeling
  She looks down as I see we're almost at the door to our class, I pull her from the arm aside close to the lockers. She looks at me confused
Me- I get that feeling all the time.. and it's not silly, Kai. If you ever need to just talk to someone, I'm here for you, ok?
  I look at her a little worried of what she could possibly be thinking. I've used my powers for that on them before during school, never before or after but I stopped doing that a few days after we met.
Kai- thanks so much Savannah
  She hugs me, since I wasn't really expecting it, it took me a few seconds to hug her back. After a few more seconds, we let go from each other and head into our classroom. Once we're in, we go sit down at our seats. As the class starts, I think about maybe talking to Max. No, I could talk to her every other day so I'll be fine for tonight.
