Title: How To Be A Virtuous Wife

Type: Chinese Novel

Author: Yue Xia Die Ying

Chapters: 123

Descriptions:

As a virtuous wife, does it include tolerating his cousin, enduring his concubines, bearing his mother?

If you will not let me live freely, why would I let you live in satisfaction?

Did fate let women time-travel so she could learn the three morals and four virtues?

Rather than act like a coward and live, it would be better to live in satisfaction and die.

Thoughts:

Title is rather misleading. It's way better than the description told of.

This was the first novel I read of the author, second ancient chinese novel too. Not gonna lie, first time I read it, I was kinda bored as I was not used to her style of writing and there were a shit ton of terminologies that was a headache to read. Now though when I reread, I find it more exciting than before!

This novel (and author's other historical ones) contained a shit ton of double meanings. It took a few rereads for me to fully get what they wanted to convey. I would die if ever I transmigrate lol.

Anyways another rational couple, I approve!

ML and FL don't really speak of their feelings, so you'll have to read between the lines to notice any differences. FL had guarded her heart very tightly (as she should), but ML's permanence was what won her over. He knows her doubts/hesitations and showed through his actions that she could trust him, and he never done anything to forsaken it.

ML is an asshole, however I can tolerate him. He has the typical ancient guy mindset, which makes him icky at times. However for a man with that mindset, he's not half bad.

I also think it's quite responsible of him to not disregard his harem. I applaud him for that (this story is monogamous though.)

So yeah, check it out!
