Title: Back to the Sixties: Farm, Get Wealthy & Raise the Cubs
Type: Chinese Novel
Author: Southern Lychee
Chapters: 701
Description:
Lin Qing He transmigrated into the novel and became one of its cannon fodder. The novel's background is non-viable-1960s, time of want to eat but nothing to eat and want to wear, nothing to wear. Although the lack of supplies and life was monotonous, this wasn't what she was concerned about because she got a small personal interspatial space, which is stuffed with supplies, so temporarily no worries about basic needs.
What she is worried about, if she remembers correctly, her three so-called sons will become big villains in the future, and their upright and cold dad will end up in an indestructible end.
Lin Qing He looked at the three future villain sons, eldest who was only five years old, the second child was only three years old, and the third child was only one year old, and decided to give them half a big white bun first...
Thoughts:
This is a slice of life story.
I really like this because I like the genre slice of life, especially when it involves marriage, cooking, and taking care of children.
This story is hella long because it narrates the life FL has when she transmigrated up till her death bed. You'll read how her sons get married, how she became an old woman, etc.
And each chapter is rather long as well. The content mostly about food, family, and business.
FL doesn't have a weak personality nor an overbearing one, which is a plus. ML, on the other hand, is not a cold (just stoic) and overbearing CEO. I think this is the second story I've read wherein the male lead is a farmer?
Anyways both ML and FL provide resources for their family. There is also a bit of child laboring, however considering the fact that it was during the 1960's and they do it willingly, I guess it's fine?
I appreciate the fact that FL pampers ML more than her children since some female lead's forget they have a husband when their child arrived. I'm not saying I want FL to only focus on her hubby, I just don't want either husband or child to be neglected.
There are some beliefs and actions (mostly from FL) that I disagree with, however it is probably because of the difference in culture and generation.
Overall I really liked it, be sure to read it!
