Title: You're My Glory

Type: Chinese Novel

Author: Gu Man

Chapters: 53

Description:

Actress Qiao Jing Jing has one month to get her gaming skills up to the level her publicist has claimed she has.

Turns out, her high school crush is an expert.

Thoughts:

I know you shouldn't compare, but I liked this more than A Slight Smile is Very Charming. Maybe it's because this male lead has more apparent flaws?

ML isn't perfect and also experienced setbacks like everyone else. Like, he considered quitting his dream job because it doesn't pay much. Although he loves his job, money is essential for survival, especially during emergencies.

FL, during highschool, was not an honor student, however she is considered one of the "most successful" in their batch. It adds realism since good grades does not guarantee success.

FL had a crush on him during their youth, however I liked the fact that she moved on and had other boyfriends (I'd like to think she's not a virgin) while he also did the same. This is a very realistic novel.

This story has fluff, has slight angst, and has funny moments. It's a great story! The epilogues are chef's kiss.

It also has a drama adaptation! ML is Yang Yang (same actor from the author's other book turned drama, Love 020) and FL Dilraba Dilmura (girlie looks like a living barbie doll

I prefer this one over Love 020 as well

I prefer this one over Love 020 as well. Everything about it was just superior. The lead's chemistry were off the charts and the FL isn't a freaking wall!

I personally think the drama is on par with the novel, that's how great the adaptation is (ngl, my fave drama). The story flows smoothly, the use of effects were done moderately, and the actor's were great! Especially Dilraba Dilmura, she has very diverse expressions (she's so freaking pretty) and portrayed FL exactly how I imagined her to be.

The side characters were splendid as well. Tbh I can't really point out anything negative about it.

Also Yang Yang looks fine in glasses (yes, I just have to mention it. Very important detail).

The adaptation is loyal to the source material. There were no major changes, and if there was, there weren't any I disliked. So yeah, definitely check it out. I sacrificed my sleep to binge watch this, so you should too.

Btw I have only watched three dramas of Yang Yang, but all three of them involves a basketball scene. Like wha--?
