She took a deep breath stabilizing her heartbeat.
"You don't need to pursue me anymore."
Ji Bai totally did not expect her to say that. His heart sank, coldly said: "What do you mean?"
Xu Xu looked into his eyes: "I also like you so you don't need to pursue."

One of my favorites and the first story i've read of the author.
I like this novel because, although FL is rather naive when it comes to love and police shit, she still has enough common sense to know what to do and what not to do. She is also straightforward when it comes to love, NOT a tsundere.
She is smart and ML is also extremely likable. I like how they have their faults and things they aren't good at. I also like how both have emotions and are actually affected by death.
There are some twists that I did not see coming. Like holy shit, it was like the author has a grudge on that character! I pity that person.
So yeah, there is a drama adaptation called When a Snail Falls In love that I haven't watched yet (idk where to watch it😭)
