Translated stories I like enough to recommend. I review them so expect some spoilers (I try not to spoil major events.)

An apocalyptic novel woo!
This story doesn't have the going back in time plot, instead what happened was that both MC (shou) and ML (gong) had no idea about what was to come. So imagine their shock (which they got over rather quickly) when the apocalypse arrived!
There are some lighthearted scenes thanks to ML, however majority are tense since it focuses on their survival.
I liked the fact that ML wasn't overpowered (tbh, for me it was MC who was OP) and that MC wasn't a Gary Stu. In fact he was often cursed by people since the leader is a dumb fucking cockroach.
I also liked the fact that the author was not afraid of killing characters (except the main ones ofcourse). Since my focus was solely on the main leads, I did not cry during others' deaths.
And tbh the 2nd CP were the ones who are kinda protected by the plot. They are in a weird relationship that I'd like to stay away from. Other than them, I really liked it!

This was adapted into an anime and manhua named Mo Ri Shu Guang or Dawn of the World. I prefer reading the novel but try it if you'd like!
