If I'm being completely honest, what I really like about apocalyptic novels are how they collect things. I'm more interested in the hoarding rather than the fight scenes and romance. And majority of this novel focuses on collecting and building shit.
The way MC differs from other MC's is that, although he went back in time, he didn't get a space/new ability. He only has his past knowledge to help him survive the future doomsday.
He also didn't meet the ML during his last life. I think even if he didn't meet the ML, he'll still be able to live well. After all, he did survive 10 years in a basement, if only the kid he adopted didn't run away resulting in him getting in between a fight, he would survive.
One thing I really appreciate about this novel is the fact that women aren't the villains like the majority of BL novels I've read. Most girls in CN BL novels, BL stuff in general, are annoying af.
However what I disliked about this novel as well, and Chinese novels in general, is that MC needs to rest 2-3 whole days after sex. Like wtf? If it hurts that bad, doesn't it mean ML is doing a bad job? They should feel pleasure, not pain!
It's fine if it was just sore for a bit, but pain? ML doesn't know how to have sex.
